Hi, welcome to this post, This Atomic Heart – Best Settings for Xbox Series X Guide was written to be of use to you, and we hope you will find that to be the case.

XSX may use the following settings. These settings are intended to increase FPS while not drastically reducing image quality.

What results can you expect from these settings?

Boost in framerate

Up to Ultra with additional tweaks as follows. DLSS quality was used to improve the framerate.

Boosts FPS between 113 and 135 at The Brave New World open area.

Continue reading the guide to increase your framerate.

I am fairly certain that the settings used to run XSX are the ones I remember.

Shadows: High

It's not the lowest or the highest resolution. Shadows have a blurred appearance and don’t use the lowest resolution. They're blurred just enough to make them appear high-quality on consoles. Compared to High Shadows and shadows on XSX Shadows, clearly, XSX Shadows have been set at High.

Vegetation Density: Medium

Grass, bushes and bushes fade away at a specific distance. I compared one scene from Brave New World to the one on XSX. The grass in XSX does not disappear like it does with Medium, so XSX uses Medium Grass.

Textures: Ultra

Textures in XSX have a blurred look, making them less detailed than on PC. XSX's gameplay videos show that these textures are Ultra Textures.

Ambient Occlusion: Medium

Because it isn’t nearly as complete as HighAO. Compare HighAO with MediumAO. XSX's Medium AO is

Postprocessing: Ultra

Water reflections can not render in full detail so Postprocessing must be set to Ultra.

Texture Anisotropy: 4

My experience has shown that many console games have texture anisotropy as high at 4x. Therefore, XSX can be anisotropy multiplied 4.

My assumptions

All settings could just be set to Ultra. So I'd set everything up to Ultra with the exceptions I mentioned. It appears that console versions are not able to use the Max setting in the same way that the PC does. So I'll stick with Ultra for the rest. You do you.

Settings that I am unable to identify right now

Volumetric Fog

3D Model Quality

Animation Quality

Visual FX

Number of objects

Materials
