This is the primary control scheme I employ. It places all four guns on the mouse to be used simultaneously and continuously while moving.

Remember that ‘Boost is used to exit walking mode, while “Quick Boost is the dash button.

Ctrl is modified to make it easier to hold Shift Operation that is used in conjunction with other keys.

This alternative shifts the two boosts to the thumb buttons. This control scheme is a bit inspired by Type B in Armored Core 4 that places the boost on one of the triggers. The two shoulder weapons have been moved to Shift/Ctrl, so that they can be held down even when moving. I also swapped the repair and scan buttons to give an example, as either position would work.

In this layout Shift Operation is stacked on the E key as Assault Boost has been moved to the mouse.

This layout is for if your mouse does not have thumb buttons. The shoulder weapons are located on R and F so they are fairly accessible while having access to WASD.

Ctrl is an option key used to hold down Shift Operation that is utilized in conjunction with other keys.

Mouse Control Tweaks

By default, very is well controlled with the mouse. Be aware that you can alter these two aspects, however:

After Chapter 1 you can enable OS Tuning from the AC customizing menu. One of the tuning options is an unlockable manual aiming feature, which allows you to press the target button (middle click) to change to manual targeting. This works well with distant targets not within your lock’s range.

I use an ingame mouse sensitivity of about 2 with 400 DPI It’s similar to my sensitivity that I use in FPS games. Feel free to try lowering this setting to whatever makes you feel comfortable when you use manual aim.
