A quick, no-BS guide to unlocking hidden wrestlers in AEW Forever

Cody Rhodes & Aubrey Edwards

Both can be purchased in the game’s shop using in-game currency. Play a few matches to earn cash and then buy them to unlock for Road to Elite and Exhibition.

Mr. Brodie Lee

Brodie, the late and great Brodie. This one takes a little more luck to unlock. To unlock The Exalted One in the story block “Join The Dark Order”, you must beat Mr Brodie to win the TNT Championship. You can then purchase him from the Shop tab, under “Other Products,” for $30,000 of game cash.

It isn’t easy to figure out the story, as it is random. I got it while playing Kris Statlander in stream. I am not sure if adding that would help chances, but I thought the addition would be nice.

Paul Wight

The man was formerly known by the name Captain Insano.

You must complete the “Who Ribs Me” storyline in Chapter 4. Play it as usual, but when you get to the part where your character has to walk through the Arena after being broken down on the roadside, Nick Jackson will give you 3 minutes to battle Paul Wight. If you defeat Paul Wight, you will be able to purchase him on the shop tab for $30,000

This fight can be EXTREMELY tough with the time limitation. Paul Wight will not be picked up. You can only strike and use strike-grapples (Lockup, then a punch or a kick button).

Do not be afraid, dear reader; there is a solution to this fight.

If you own the credits to purchase an upgrade at the Road to Elite shop there is a powerup that allows you to have a special throughout the week. As soon as the match starts with Paul Wight, use your finisher twice or thrice and go for pin. I did it with Malakai and beat Paul Wight’s match in 16 seconds.

You can also defeat him by counting out. Get him out and keep him down. When the Ref counts nine, RUN back into ring.

Owen Hart

Owen Hart. Beloved millions of times.

To unlock Owen Hart in exhibition mode you need to play 50 matches. Then, go to the shop and pay $50,000 to unlock him. This may take a long time, so be patient and explore different match types, or recreate actual games from the Live product.
