To receive free rewards, new players should immediately get an in-game mentor. This guide will help you understand the Mentor system. It will show you how to become a mentor, what rewards are available, how to complete all missions, and answer some common questions.
Introduction
CounterSide offers a secret feature that it doesn’t advertise to new players. It's a shame, because it offers free rewards for doing things in-game that you don't want to!
You will find CounterSide at the Partners menu, (, your friends list,). There is a tab called Mentee.
Although it may seem confusing at first, I'll try my best to explain it and break it down.
What is the Mentor System?
The Mentor system in CounterSide is CounterSide's equivalent to a referral system for other games.
You can enter the business registration number of someone (or their player ID). Or you can choose from a list recommended players and then add them to your mentor.
You can claim a mentor once you have completed all the missions. random SSR character ticket Get a free SSR-character
Your mentor will also be rewarded if you complete all your mentee missions.
It is possible to add a mentor, but it is not a one-way road. They don't have to approve your request for mentee So once you have added a mentor, you can immediately start working on the mentoring missions.
NOTE: You can't make your mentor change, so choose wisely (unless you are dismissed by your mentor; more about this later).
What are the rewards?
The main reward for the mentee system, as of September 2022 (Global server), is the random SSR character ticket You get a certificate for completing all mentee missions.
It also gives:
- Quartz (freemium currency)
- S-APT and Core tickets for APT Core (The cubes used in limiting break your units)
- Blue tickets (gacha currency to pull on non-awakened banners.)
- Dive currency & Raid currency (Britra)
- Information (is used for skill training and to join raids)
- Loyalty contract (is basically an "oath-ring" that can be used once a unit has reached max loyalty. It allows you to play a cutscene, unlock new voice lines, and prevent them from losing loyalty if they fail missions).
None these rewards is exclusive or "missable", but it's not the end. A free SSR character, and a few currencies that you'll be short of as a new player, will give you a nice boost to kick-start your CounterSide adventure.
A mentor can be a great friend and can help you learn the ropes.
How can I become a Mentee
It's important to understand that Once your account reaches 26+, you can't become a mentor. . i.e. To become a mentor, your account (company level) level 25 or lower must be met.
It's important to apply as soon as you can to be a mentor so that you don't miss out on the opportunity.
Add a Mentor
To become a mentor, you will need to add a mentor. It is very easy.
Click on the Mentee screen to either the box with the "+" sign or the button at bottom.
This will open a screen that displays a random list potential mentors. There is also a search bar that allows you to enter the name or (player ID business registration number) for a specific player.
Once you have found the mentor you wish to add, click the "Add as Mentor” button next to their profile.
You can't change your mentor Lena will confirm your satisfaction with your selection.
After confirmation, your mentor will lock you in and you'll return to the Mentee screen, with a new set of missions to complete.

Mentee Missions
You've now added a mentor. You now have a set of missions that you must complete to get a random SSR character.
The following mentee missions were available as of September 2022, according to the Global server:
1. Reach Company Level 15
This is the easiest: Get your account to level 15. You can achieve this by simply playing the game.
Company level (Account level) The large number in the top-left corner on your lobby screen is the company level:
Which stages are the most conducive to company exp? Usually, this is the most difficult or highest level content you are capable of clearing.
CounterSide isn't like other games. Instead, you will need to work your way through the main story, complete your daily (supply operations and side stories, clear the rotating challenge stages), then farm the hardest event stage.
2. Consume 5 000 000 credits
It's very easy – just play the game.
Credits can be used to buy items in the daily shop, craft equipment, upgrade equipment, and quickly level units with Salary Negotiation. (is not a throwaway currency in CounterSide.) and probably more than I haven’t listed.
3. Consume 100 000 Eternium
Eternium is the name for the stamina/energy system of CounterSide. You can play the game (again. Mission 1 -).
4. Fully clear Main Stream EP.3
Complete Episode 3 in Normal mode). You will want to finish Episode 5 of your main story so that you can complete this mission.
This mission doesn't require you to be 100% or 3medal. It is easy to see.
5. Dispatch missions can be completed for 50 hours
These are your expeditions/logistic missions/etc. where you can send out units and ship squads on timed mission. They bring back loot after they're done. There is a chance to get bonus items from "Great Success" (odds, based on your branch manager unit).
You can open branch locations on the World Map. Each branch can send out one dispatch mission at a given time.
This mentee mission has a time limit You'll need to wait at least a week to finish this one, depending on how many branches and how often it is possible to check the game and send employees back on dispatches.
All types of dispatch missions count towards this It doesn't matter what it is: Exploration, Mining, Office Work, Defense, or any other.
More information about the World Map and Branches can be found in the
Prydwen Beginner Guide – [prydwen.co]
.
6. Clear 15 Dives
Clear all 15 dives, including those at the bottom-right on the World Map screen. Also, any random dives that may appear after completing a dispatch missions.
You can find the following:

7. Participate in a Raid 5 Times
This mission is also connected to World Map branches (, mission 5 – and).
The button "Exploration Status" is located at the bottom-left corner of the World Map.
If you don’t see this button, you haven’t unlocked Raids yet. You must send dispatch missions to your branches until you get a random raid to spawn. Then you can either share it (with your friends and consortium), or you can kill it.
How do you spawn raids? After completing any dispatch mission, there is a small chance that you can spawn a raid or a dive. It's completely random . To increase your chances of spawning your first raid, it is recommended that you spam the 1 hour dispatch missions. Welcome to gacha within a gacha hell. 🙂
If you have ever visited branch facilities, No, the CSE Passive Radar won't help you with this. (increases your chances of finding higher-level dives & raids, but not your base chance of spawning one). (Distortions are dives and raids that you have active. You can only have one active branch distortion, so if there is an unfinished dive on that branch, you can't spawn any raid there).
Once you have sacked your first raid spawn, click on the "Exploration Status” button to open a screen with a tab titled Support Request. This is where you'll see raids shared by your friends or consortium members.
You must "Support" a raid five times to complete this mentee task. You don't need to attack five different raids. However, you only get two attempts per raid (. The "Remaining Count 2" screenshot above) shows this. You'll see the raid in the "Participation History", tab. This includes your own raids (, regardless of whether you attacked them).
It's a waste of time to can attack any raids you find. Raider discoverers are already guaranteed maximum loot if their raid is successful .
8. Recruit 50 times
You can recruit 50 times from any gacha banner. This includes awakened units (. NOT the Recruit-through-Partners banner). This mission can be even more frustrating if there aren't any free events for recruits.
Here are some tips: Do not spend your quartz on blue ticket banners (includes the new player banner. You can exit the game and reopen the game to skip the "mandatory" pull).
You want to save your blue ticket for banners with pity (“Ensured Recruitment”):
Yang Harim, (, is also fantastic and highly recommended if possible!)
This pity is not carried by blue ticket banners So, unless you're rerolling Steam accounts (, which you are currently CANNOT do on Steam)), remember that pulling for a regular unit when you don’t have enough blue tickets can lead to disaster…
CounterSide always offers 1 free recruit per calendar day Even if no events are taking place, you could complete this mission in 50 days if you keep your tickets (. However, this could lead to you losing your time limit. See the section on getting kicked from the mentee network near the bottom of this guide.
Also, Don't waste your blue tickets for the "Recruit on Demand” banner . Use the 1/day free recruit only, as this banner is not for you.
Next steps and becoming mentor
You have now gotten a mentor, and you've completed all the mentee missions.
Congratulations! What's next?
Mentee rewards can only be claimed once per account. (Good luck with your random ticket to SSR!)
Mentoring
Once you reach company level 26+ you can become a mentor. You get rewards for each "season" (. The time limit at the top-right corner on the Mentee screen) is based on how many mentees you have completed all their mentee missions within the given time.
Kicking out of the Mentee System
What happens if I reach 26+ company level before I finish the missions?
If you have a mentor, when your account reaches 26+ You can continue your mentee missions and you won't get kicked out.
For inactivity, you will be dismissed
If you don't complete all the missions or you're not active for 3 days or more, your mentor may choose to dismiss you and force you to find a replacement mentor.
If your account is at least 26+ by the time your mentor kicks it, you will not be able to add another mentor or be permanently locked out from these rewards.
Time Limit
Although you can only complete the mentee rewards one time per account, the Mentee/Mentor system resets approximately every 90 days to allow mentors to receive more rewards from new batches.
The time limit can be seen in the upper-right corner of Mentee tab screen.
I don't know what happens if you fail the mentee missions within the time limit. Unless you started playing CounterSide before the reset occurs or you have terrible luck unlocking Raid systems, It would be a risk that I wouldn't take! (Let me know if you have this happen to you and how it works!)
tl;dr: Don’t let your mentees down. You won’t have any problems. Mentors who are inactive or slacking with their mentees will cry.
