This will cover important aspects of Zenith Grabber and how to properly utilise them.
Searching
Firstly, initiate a search by typing your tags in the search box. To learn more about how you should format your tags, click here – [donmai.us] .
Above the search bar is a dropdown box that includes all the available websites. You can freely enable and disable which ones you’d like to search for.
Once you’re done, click the “SEARCH” button.
Viewing
After you have made your search, a bunch of posts will show up on the screen. By clicking on any that you like, it will get selected. Once you have chosen the posts you’d like to view, click the “VIEW” text at the bottom of the screen.
Next to the view button are two arrows for page navigation. You can browse these pages and your posts selected on previous pages will carry over–so you can keep building up a list of posts.
Now that you’re in viewing mode, you can do a couple of things:
If you hover your mouse over a post, you will notice a tool-tip at the bottom of the screen, this will give you tips on how things you can do with the post, such as pressing the Right Mouse Button to “magnify” the image.
The bottom of the screen also holds some buttons.
On the far-left is a back button, this will take you back to the post-selection screen.
On the right is a trash button, this will remove the post you’re currently looking at.
Next to the trash button is the mass-download button, this will download every post in the view screen to your computer. The location of where these get saved can be configured in the Settings menu.
Viewing Doujinshi
Doujinshi are essentially just books. They work almost identically to posts, apart from when in view mode.
Notice the post on the left does not have the extra tool-tip, nor a title bar on it’s left side.
By clicking the Left Mouse Button, you can expand the book and view each of its pages individually. The controls work the same, where you can delete any images you don’t like and download them. Doujinshi will be organised into a folder of the book’s name, instead of posts being organised into folders of the tags you searched.
Settings
There are a lot of settings at your disposal.
There are too many to go over here, so I recommend playing around with them yourself.
Each setting has a “?” tool-tip, hover your mouse over it to get a more detailed description on what it does.
