What is a Debug Menu and what is it eaten with?

What is Debug Menu?

The debug menu is a window where there are many different switches and buttons that can be useful for mod developers, or for beta-testers in the process of playing a new version.

For ordinary players, only 3 buttons will be useful – FastSpawn, SonicSpeed and the Console. We will analyze each of these buttons a little later, but in the meantime, let me teach you how to get to this green bug

Where? WHERE CAN I FIND IT?!

To find it, you will have to strain your fingers a little, and also remember a small sequence that will soon turn into a habit:

To get started, go to the game settings

After that, go to the settings (no, this is not a mistake, there are really two buttons with settings

A burger will appear on the top left, you need to click on it exactly 11 times (it sounds like a prank, I know

And…Nothing appeared on the right? Congratulations, you have opened the Debug Menu!

Now let’s look at some buttons that may be useful.

FastSpawn – why fast?

FastSpawn is one of the most useful buttons in the Debug Menu.

When you enable this option, you have the opportunity to spawn creatures (and not only them) much faster by simply holding the left mouse button.

This greatly speeds up and facilitates the process of spawning thousands of skeletons, zombies or cows, for example.

SonicSpeed or how to forget about the hourglass forever

SonicSpeed is a brilliant invention that allows you to speed up the game 10 times, saving you time.

Just enable this option, and try to focus on some unit. Is it not working? This means that the function has already started working.

This button is extremely useful if you want to quickly rewind time forward, so that after a while a small village turns into an empire.

Đ¡onsole

No, this is not the console where you can enter cheat codes for resources. No, this is not a console where you can write scripts.

Then what is the console in the WorldBox?

The console in the debug menu is a lightweight version of the logs, which is very useful when submitting a bug to developers.
If you have a problem with the game, take a close look at the console to see if there is anything strange or unusual there.

Easter Eggs

Even here there are some Easter eggs that can be very funny. Some of them modify creatures, and some turn your world into HELL

Let’s take a look on them

  • BurgerHeads is one of two Easter eggs associated with modifications on the head

After enabling this option, try to spawn some race, and you will see how the heads of people, orcs, elves or dwarves have changed.

A small fact: this option was created in honor of one of the administrators of the WorldBox Discord

  • TrunkHeadsis the second customizing Easter egg, which also changes the “hat” on the head.

After enabling this option, try to spawn some race, and you will see how the heads of people, orcs, elves or dwarves have changed.

A small fact 2: this option was created in honor of one of the administrators of the WorldBox Discord too

  • Greg. Wait why does this called a greg?

Greg is something frightening, something that can cause chaos and destruction in the world.

He is described in different ways: some say that he is a cute animal, but most say that he is a terrible yellow monster that attacks everyone in a row.

Enable this option and wait until something unusual appears in the window with Important Events

Fun fact: this monster is an emoji on the WorldBox Discord server, which became a phenomenon and it was decided to introduce it into the game as a memory of that event
