Go foot knight. 
You want a total of 80% block cost reduction with shield, necklace, and rock of reiksland skill. 
Also battering ram, you’ll LEARN why. 
A stamina regen trinket, and here’s the most important part: the skill counter-punch. 
Also stagger temp hp, obviously. 
Opportunist trait also helps, and boon of shallya because we’re playing aggressively. 
 
This is how you deal with and tank Nurgloth forever, but we’re not gonna do that. 
No, instead of surviving and ressing out teammates infinitely we’re gonna do a real baller move! 
Get Nurgloth to his last state, and try to get up on the pillar with the largest base. 
With some effort you can climb it, and jump onto Nurgloth from there. 
 
You can look to the image for reference, it’s the one to the immediate left as you enter the room. 
Beware that the pillar itself is within the damage circle zone, so you only have a limited time until it bounces you out. 
Actually getting there while tanking nurgloth and handling horde can be tedious, but that’s no problem for the tankiest class in the game.
