Hello and welcome, We hope you find the following page, in which we detail the War Thunder – How to View the Actual Review Score, informative.
Are you tired of Steam and companies like Gaijin telling you what reviews you should be allowed to view? Here’s a guide to assist you!
A few days ago companies were sick and tired of having their bad games slammed from the players So they complained to Valve and Valve came up with this clever method to erase them all.
Review “Off-Topic Topics”
This was Valve’s way to discrediting a large portion of people who did not actively recommend a game from their own experiences (Including games similar to this one!)
Remember the time Kirill Yudinstsev mentioned “…Also, review bombing won’t result in the game to change or even nullify its prices. …”? He was aware that Steam was not allowing your voice to be heard!
But don’t worry There is an answer!
Uncovering the Truth
If you see an * next to the review, it indicates that Valve’s Off Topic System has modified the review. If you haven’t altered your preferences yet it will delete and alter any reviews it considers “Off-Topic”, including many very on topic reviews.
The easy fix is to scroll down to just above the reviews:
Above their fancy little graph, you’ll find “Edit Preferences” on the right-hand side, in the upper left. Click it and you’ll see this:
If you click on the outlined option and click on the outlined option, the page will refresh and instead of showing what Valve and Gaijin want you to see:
You’ll be able to discover the truth about this:
How Game Devs Benefit from this System
You’ll only need to go to Gaijin’s own blog on the issue!
Of course, a review on Steam is also a platform for expression. However, the majority of new players just look at the score evaluation, and do not read the text of reviews and do not go into what they were left for. So review bombing damages the game in that new players simply won’t try it, while it doesn’t raise their awareness of the problems you’ve noticed. If your goal is not to hurt the game, please use other, less destructive ways. For example, leave feedback in our forum, and suggestions specifically about the economy we are inviting in the feedback form. Also, review bombing will not cause modifying or nullifying in-game prices – if the game is shut down, no one wins.
Of my opinion means: “Plz stop, review bombs hurt!”
Instead of apologizing to their mistakes, they attempted to justify them and hide behind Valve’s system to keep them from criticism.
They HAVE taken action, and there is a glimmer of hope that more changes could be made, but the fact remains:
Bad developers who make poor decisions should not be protected by Valve.
Now you have the power to decide what is off the subject!
Just as it ought to have been all the time
