To get maximum potential from your vehicle, use crew points only on cheapest skills available, for example:
 
get all skills to cost of 50–>100–>150–>200…
 
 
This way you get maximum level for the crew as fast as you are able to. Since level is what is needed to be able to buy Expert Qualification (silver star crew).
 
 
Expert qualification gives 30% bonus to all skills in crew, making ma*sive difference in their capability.
 
 
Improving turret speed, reload, repair time (tanks = down to 20sec total repair time), visible rage of AA missiles for planes, and so on.
 
Once Expert qualification is obtained, Aced Qualification (golden star crew) is free, for just earning experience.
 
 
This experience can be gained towards the unlock of aced crew only after expert crew is purchased.
 
The qualification is the most important aspect of crew, as for example planes:
 
 
LVL 0 crew with aced qualification has all skills better than crew with just level 75 crew.
 
For tanks, crew with LVL 0 and aced qualification is better than crew with just level 150 crew.
 
 
Since to be able to get expert X level depending on the vehicle’s rank is needed, any vehicle with just expert crew and minimum level of crew to be able to get expert will outperform any vehicle without expert crew and just maximum level of said crew.
 
 
Expert qualification gives tank vehicles ma*sive advantage especially for weapon control as only after having expert qualification can buy turn simultaneously horizontal and vertical. Before expert crew is obtain only first horizontal than vertical gun elevation is possible.

Note that Base value (0 crew and no qualification) Line of sight detection is 563 m
 
 
So maximum range to “SCOUT” with no crew and no qualification is, 1689 m
 
 
with level and qualification, maximum range of “SCOUT” is 3753 m
