100% walkthrough of chapter 19.
Guide Overview
It is important that you note beyond chapter 15x that your army was divided in two. This map shows Cyltan's army.
This is a compilation from screenshots that I took to create the complete map as it appeared during the preparations stage.
Map Overview
Below is a detailed map for chapter 19, with all data.
Items
This section lists all items in this chapter.
- The Fell Bow is located on the top right chest
- The middle right chest houses a Prayer Staff
- The Staff of Impetus is located in the upper bottom chest
- The bottom chest contains Withered Bow, if Cyltan’s Am Solim has been broken before opening this chest. It is a Ring of Bliss if it is not. If you want the Withered Bow, then break the Am Solim on that level.
Events
This section lists all the events that occur in this chapter.
-
The central chamber is opened by the lever located near the dragons.
- The staircase to the altar is revealed by the lever located near the party clones.
- As your units approach the room of statues, they become more active so I used Hilda against all of them. Slowly move through the room to awaken four units at a time.
- The eidolon rooms transforms all your fighters into eidolons, which are skeletal warriors. The skeletal warriors can't use bow weapons so don’t bring your archers. You will see that if your units are killed in this room, they return in chapter 20. They are not considered to be dead, but they are no longer available on the rest of the map.
- The Withered Bow can be used to turn the Ceddica's Will into reality if you have it.
Bosses
This section lists all the bosses:
-
Valerius – Leaves
Skills:
Bedevil – Causes beserk status effect upon enemy when hit by enemy
Critical dodge – nullifies critical hit
Weaponguard – Prevents weapons from losing their durability
Shimmer – evasion +50
Deathless – If hit with a fatal blow, it will remain at 1HP. -
Syvill – Leaves
Skills:
Delirium – Critical hit for all allies + 17%
Triple Threat – 20% chance of hitting 3x
Beserk Strike – beserk status effect on hit
Shimmer – evasion +50
Lifesieve – Heals equal to the damage done to an opponent
-
Zweiras – I had to turn him one turn after defeating Adonsphair.
Adonsphair can safely deal with him. He is a slumber striker and has terrible skills.
Skills:
Grand Regenesis – 30HP recovery each turn
Lifesieve – Heals equal to the damage done to an opponent
Wrath – 25% chance of critical hit when counter attacking
Slumberstrike – Sleep status effect on hit
-
Adonsphair: You need strong archers and should get your bows on this chapter. He is not at his edge, but his center. He occupies 9 spaces and has 1-3 range between each space.
Skills:
Grand Regenesis – 30HP recovery each turn
Reinforcements
This section lists all reinforcement spawnpoints.
-
Once in a while, enemies appear behind the green units. It is best to let the green units deal with them. You can move a few units down to the reinforcements if you want to protect your green units. Sforza is a defeat condition and must be kept alive. It would be a good idea to have at least two bodyguards nearby.
- Once in a while, a gargoyle enemy raus appears in the far bottom left hallway.
- Every time you open a chest with Hoelun, a group of nearby skeleton bones piles comes to life.
- This doorway is home to some axemasters. They can be easily handled by archers.
- In this doorway, you will find margulian wraiths. They possess a tome that can give you up to 1HP.
Tricky enemies
This section lists the most difficult enemies to deal with:
-
It can be difficult to deal with the wyrms that lurk in the corner. I found Dune's personal weapon and his best method to deal with them to be the best. One drops a Siurian Thaumite.
- Status effect staves are available for long-range necromancers. Cyltan, Dune and the Adonsphair can be used to take them out. I used Neira's staff of impetus and taskmaster ability to eliminate as many as possible in one turn.
Warning about Softlock
This chapter outlines two ways to softlock yourself. One of these warnings is included when you begin the chapter.
- After you enter the room, you must turn on the switch in double Wyrm Room. However, you can't continue moving until you have turned it on. It is over if both Wyrms kill you unit in enemy phase. The map cannot be completed. Cyltan is not allowed to enter the room.
-
Adonsphair can be defeated if none of your archers have the strength or personal weapons to defeat him. He has low defense and resistance, and heals 30HP upon the enemy phase's start. My maxed strength Cyltan was around 11×4 when Siegfried's buffs were applied. Dune's maxed level was slightly lower with his personal weapon. This chapter is unbeatable if you don't want to spend time leveling Cyltan or Dune, or Hoelun, (, who isn’t very hard hitting anyway). It's even worse if Am Solim is no longer needed on Cyltan or if you have opened the chest containing the Withered Bow.
For comparison, here is my Cyltan who easily took down Adonsphair.
