Why this guide?

VtM’s character creation section has two major flaws: first, the simple fact there’s no way to “go back” if you don’t like the stats given to you by a particular choice, and second, the fact that overlapping choices (picking two background options that increase the same skill) can allow you to “waste” points, since the game will throw away any dots above 4 in attributes and above 3 in skills – without granting you any alternatives or XP to repurchase your wasted points. Save yourself some re-rolling by consulting this spreadsheet before you pick.
 
 

 
 
Note that currently, there are only stats for the base-game clans. I don’t own either of the DLCs, and I made this for my own use and am only sharing this incidentally. Also, if more than one person wishes to use the automated portion of the spreadsheet at the same time, you will need to go to File -> Make a Copy and save your own copy to edit to your heart’s content.
