Apparently, Valheim’s updates can mess your saves up. And if you play the game GF Now, you can’t just copy the save files from your games’ local files.
BACKING UP YOUR SAVES
To not get screwed by upcoming patches and losing your saves,
back up your saves from Steam Cloud
https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorage
UNLIKELY SITUATION
Cloud saving might be disabled if you couldn’t find the saves.
Right-click Valheim in the Steam library, select Properties>General and tick “Keep games saves in the Steam Cloud for Valheim” if it’s disabled.
