Welcome to ULTRAKILL – Mods Installation and Configuration Guide
This guide will show you how to get BwpInEx and configure it.
Installing the Right BepInEx
You will first want to visit this site:
https://github.com/BepInEx/BepInEx/releases – [github.com]
From here, go to BepInEx 5.4.21 and navigate your way to BepInEx_x64_126.96.36.199.zip
The assets section contains the files. All files must be placed in the ULTRAKILL directory. If your version isn’t compatible with your operating system, you may need another one.
After downloading, extract all files and place them in your ULTRAKILL directory. After downloading, open ULTRAKILL. Once it is done, exit the title menu. After opening it again, the file should be configured and your menu screen may look slightly different.
For reference, check image.
Installing UMM Mod manager
UKM (Ultrakill Mod Manager) is required to allow your mods work. It can be downloaded here
https://github.com/Temperz87/ultra-mod-manager/releases/tag/0.5.0 – [github.com]
You will need to extract it and place the dll file in ultrakill/bepinex/plungins.
Drop all of your current mods into ULTRAKILL\BepInEx\UMM Mods, right now mods do not automatically load on start and will have to be set to do so in the mods button on the game’s menu screen. You will need to drop any future mods that you want the mod manager manage into this folder.
Installing the Mods
Mod Folders will need to go into ULTRAKILL/BepInEx/UMM Mods
If it’s an application extension, it goes into BepInEx/plugins
UMM is an exception.
This should be taken with a grain. I don’t know how it determines which folder a mod goes to.
