Reasons for each weapon’s placement

 
Musket 
The musket is the only sniper that, without any attachments, can one shot someone with a chest shot. It has 130 damage on the chest, 260 damage on the head and 65 on the arms and legs, with its only downsides being its high bullet drop that starts at a medium distance and having only 1 bullet. 
AWP 
The AWP is a strong sniper. Having 78 chest damage, 156 head damage and 39 arms and legs damage, and unlike the musket, it has almost no bullet drop, slow firerate and a decent recoil. It has a decent knockback on hit targets and has a 10 bullet capacity. 
KAR98 
The KAR98 has its damage, recoil, firerate and bullet drop the same as the AWP, with its only difference being a smaller knockback and a 5 bullet clip. If you have a KAR and find a AWP, get the AWP. 
S7 
The S7 deals 20 chest damage, 39 head damage and 10 arms and legs damage. 
The S7 is high up in the list because its both good for close combat and sniping away since its essencialy a laser beam of destruction with its extremely low recoil and bullet drop, decent damage, good clip and amazing firerate 
FAL 
The FAL does 52 chest damage, 104 head damage and 26 arm and leg damage. It has a medium recoil and fast firerate, making it decent in close combat and has a 20 bullet capacity. Its basically an stronger but slower S7 with an bigger recoil. 
Barrett 
You’d expect this to do more damage based on its size. The Barret deals 68 chest damage, 137 head damage and 34 arms and legs damage. It has almost no bullet drop, fast firerate, Huge recoil, medium knockback for the target and small knockback for the user. It has 10 bullet capacity. 
 
 

Reasons for weapon placement²

 
Winchester 
The wincherster has 47 chest dmg, 94 head dmg and 23 arm and leg dmg. It has low bullet drop, big recoil, decent firerate, small 9 clip cap and uses big ammo, which is the hardest to find. 
Garand 
The garand has 44 chest dmg, 88 head dmg and 22 arm and leg dmg. It has a very small bullet drop, medium recoil, medium firerate and a 8 bullet cap. Its basically the VSS but with more damage and slower firerate, that you need to spam click instead of just holding m1. 
M14 
The M14 has 33 chest dmg, 65 head dmg and 16 arm and leg dmg. It has a slight bullet drop, fast firerate, medium recoil and a 25 bullet cap. Its not auto, so you need to spam m1 to get some use of the firerate. For sniping? Not useful. For close combat? better than the garand. But close combat is not the focus of this list. 
VSS 
The VSS is a weak but fast sniper, it has a medium bullet drop, big recoil, 20 bullet clip and bad damage. Its more useful as a close combat weapon that a long distance sniper. 23 chest dmg, 47 head dmg and 12 arm and leg dmg.
