2. Press the cogwheel

3. Check the box labeled “Enable console (RomeShell)!

And that’s it!

Now to open the console in-game you will want to press the ” § ” button which is located under esc and next to “1”, however, If it doesn’t open please head over to settings and follow these steps!

1. Click on “Control Settings”

2. Use the arrows on top of the newly displayed window to head over to “Miscellaneous”

3. Scroll down to the bottom and you should see a keybind to open the RomeShell.

4. Rebind it to any button you want.

Now when you have the console open all you need to d o is this to give characters traits and ancillaries!

For traits: give_trait {character_name} {trait name} {level of trait}

For ancillaries: give_ancillary {character_name} {ancillary name}

Note, If your character has a first and last name then you want to write it as “FirstName LastName” and not as {FirstName LastName}

Example: give_trait “Julius Caesar” GoodAttacker 3 < is the correct way!

Example of the wrong way: give_trait Julius Caesar GoodAttacker 3
