What Clash’s Gadget Does.

Clash is a defending operator who’s gadget, the CCE Shield, is an electronic shield that disrupts vision, slows people down similar to Melusi’s Banshee device, as well as deals damage over time. (5 every tick) He shield is fully bulletproof, as well as transparent. The downfall of her shield is unlike Montagne, Fuze, & Blitz, her weapon must be holstered whilst her shield is equipped. 
 
 
 

What To Avoid While Conflicted With Clash.

Most people tend to try to face her head on when they don’t have the correct utility to. (Ex: Rushing to melee her shield) This simply isn’t necessary, and not to mention it’s quite arrogant to yourself and to your team to do. The best way to start with versing a Clash is to giver her no attention. Instead of focusing on her, try to look behind her or near her for her fellow defenders attempting to kill you with her as the distraction. If you hear Clash’s shield is put onto her back for her to un-holster her weapon, it has an audio clip that is pretty hard to miss. Only focus on her if she removes that shield. 
 
 
 

What is Clash vulnerable too?

Like a Blitz, Fuze, or Montagne with his shield un-extended, if you melee it, it will traverse to the left of the player controlling them’s screen. Whenever this happens you have a short burst of time to shoot and eliminate them, or knife if you’re quick enough. 
Like any operator, Clash can be killed by frag grenades, fire, other explosions, guns, and knives. 
 
 
 

Teamwork.

Even though it’s an unlikely scenario, if Clash is in an exposed position, you can have a teammate distract, while another travels to get behind her, allowing her to be exposed to one of the attackers, leaving her defenseless. 
 
 
 

Operators That Counter Her.

• Nomad (Hard Counter):  
  Nomad’s Airjabs will send Clash flying onto her back, and force her to unequip her shield in the process. 
   
• Capitão (Hard Counter):  
  Capitão’s flame bolts are extremely deadly to Clash, who’s speed prevents her from retreating or escaping their Area of Effect. 
   
• Zofia (Soft Counter):  
  Zofia’s concussion grenades will knock clash back, similar to that a melee attack, and leave her vulnerable to follow up attacks. Their standard screen effects also affect Clash. Also, if angled correctly, both impacts hitting Clash could kill her. 
   
• Thatcher (Soft Counter):  
  EMP grenades will temporarily disable the CCE Shield’s shock abilities, and force it to need to recharge to be used again afterwards. It remains equipped, however. 
  IQ (Soft Counter): IQ’s electronic scanner can detect and identify the CCE Shield, but only while currently in-use, and firing shocks, otherwise it will be undetectable. 
   
• Gridlock (Soft Counter):  
  Trax don’t knock Clash back, but their restricting Area of Effect and damaging properties can force her to remain still or stop rotating, leaving her vulnerable to pushing and melee attacks. 
   
• IQ (Soft Counter):  
  IQ’s electronic scanner can detect and identify the CCE Shield, but only while currently in-use, and firing shocks, otherwise it will be undetectable. 
   
• Operators with Frags (Soft Counter):  
  The CCE Shield will block a degree of explosive damage from head-on, however a well placed frag thrown behind Clash will easily kill, or gravely wound her.

Conclusion.

Clash is banned on countless occasions in Ranked, and I’ve even seen people team-kill others, and me in casual just because we decided to play Clash. I hope this taught you a good way to deal with her next time you come into contact with her.
