A guide to build the ultimate melee ritualist leading an army of bolsetred pets into battle !

General info about the ritualist

Hey you adventurer ! Are you tired of killing hordes of monsters yourself and would like to stay back while having a horde of allies doing the dirty job for you ? Search no further, this melee ritualist guide is made for you !

But… What is a melee ritualist ? Well.. Unlike other melee class, the melee ritualist focuses on survivability and auras to give buffs to pets that are the ritualist main weapon, therefore, the melee ritualist is only there to assist his pets more than the pets assists the ritualists. This is a very powerful class especially late game when equipped with the right gears…Not the most hard hitting but pretty much unkillable.

Attribute points and synergies

How to distribute your attribute points ?

Pretty simple there strength and dexterity equally and nothing else. Do no waste points in intelligence, you don’t need it and do not spend any points in life or energy. You’ll get more than enough by levelling up your mastery in both dream and nature.

Nature has 4 main synergies.

– Wolves : up to 3 of them will tear any mob apart, in legendary with oak core buffs and maxed out, they are very hard to kill and will even be efficient boss killers
– Oak core : Gives a ridiculous HP buff to your character as well as elemental resist
– Nymph : a ranged fragile but nice DPS dealer, deals a lot of elemental damage late game and provides with an aura that gives absoption buffs to the team.
– Plague : Slows the ennemies down, reduces their life and gives them huge debuffs to both physical and elemental resitance. This will indirectly increase the DPS of your pets.

Late game, feel free to invest in the healing synergy to chain heal your pets when needed. Even though it wont happen often, the recharge time of this spell is very short and will make you save on potions A LOT.

Dream has 5 main synergies

– Nightmare : A pretty unkillable beast which will increase the damage of your other pets up to +60%
– Transe of Empathy : Will reflect up to 85 % of physical damages to the ennemy. Your pets are affected, them being hit will result sending back 85% of the physical attack damage to the ennemy. This again, indirectly buffs the DPS of your pets.
– Lucid dream : Gives you more speed and absorption buffs
– Psionic hit : Your main source of primary damage assign to LMB
– Distorted reality : Great crowd control effect as well as continuous damage dealer

The way you play early game does not really matter. The most important is not to waste your attribute points in life, energy or intel. As far as weapon goes, swords are advised since your character not having any serious skills to improve his physical damage nor his attack speed, swords are the weapons of choice having a balanced attack speed and damage.

Gears

The following gear puts a high emphasis on being able to carry heavy armor with high elemental/pierce/bleed/poison/stun/sleep/slow resistances and is not geared towards high damage output from your character. Hower this gear will allow your pet to deal a very high amount of damage. It will also allow you to be very resiliant. What about DPS ? Well with the following gear and the + 7 extra skill points it grants the DPS with the buffs granted by the wolves should be slightly above 4k with an attack speed of about 160% Which is not bad considering this gear is first and foremost made to get the best from your pets as well as allowing you to tank a lot.

This gear will allow you to be pretty much unkillable and will make your pets real furies. of course you can exchange both the ring and the amulet that give pet buffs for rings with stronger elemental + damage bonus if you want your character to hit harder. For my part i think it is more beneficial for this build to be oriented towards the pets effeiciency rather than the char brute force.

I hope you enjoyed this guide and that it will help you in your quest of the ultimate melee ritualist build !
