Do you want to grab your VIP masque but the story about the timeboat is too complicated? Here’s how to solve each puzzle.

Gerald

Sandy’s laboratory is Sandy’s dolphin lab. Gerald can be found swimming on Gerald’s side of the gla*s. If you take the stairs down to the stern, the first door should be on the left.

Sandy will play with Gerald a bit using the cuecards that are stuck to her gla*s shield.

Sandy will eventually leave her lab in order to retrieve more fish and go to Gerald’s.

Sandy will take Gerald out of the boat temporarily, but he’ll be back before Sandy.

After Gerald is back in front, without the yellow tracker on it, place two cuecards into the empty slots on your gla*s: the red cross and the blue strikethrough.

Gerald will take your instructions and swim with the ship.

*Gerald was the only savable character on the first episode.

Sara

Sara is the first savable protagonist in the second Episode.

Sara can often be found on the ice just a few steps from the starboard end of the ship after the Aickman residents have gathered.

After a conversation, Sara leaves Adela and heads her way. Follow her to the stump of a tree, just past the ship. Sara will disappear in the fog. You can continue onwards until you find a small cabin.

Enter the cabin and the doors will close behind. Sara’s puzzle is in the background

This puzzle is part of Sara’s memory about Todd, her younger sister, who was essentially her primary caregiver. Her father was famously absent from their lives.

To build a bridge, you’ll need to cut down trees. You must be fast, otherwise you will lose your life. However, unlike the intro, you have only a few lives to solve each timeboat puzzle. Be careful.

Crossing both bridges you will find a cluster of cabins very similar to that in the fog. The door to one these cabins will be opened and a birdcage will be inside. To smash the birdcage, use the axe.

Thew

Thew is the second and last savable in episode 2.

After Thew’s conversation, Sara, Adela and Billy, Thew can be found further from the Aickman, along with Adela and Billy.

After a few minutes of chatting the three members move into the fog.

Follow Thew in the fog and fast-forward a few seconds until you see the three characters returning to the icy cavern.

The area becomes darkly lit by a quick forward movement. Billy will point you to a similar wreckage to The Under. Follow them into wreckage.

The characters will be quiet for a moment until Thew is grabbed from behind by an invisble force.

Thew’s flashlight is located on the ground in the same direction as where he was grabbed. Grab the flashlight, and then walk forward until your reach the edge. Once you are still standing, you will be teleported directly to Thew’s puzzle.

You must pick up Thew’s flashlight and continue walking forward until reaching a corn maze. Near the maze’s start is a shovel. After finding the shovel, proceed east.

After a brief moment, you will see Thew being chased by several mud creatures near a pickup truck. You will save thew if he is observant for a few seconds.

*Sorry, there are no images of the corn maze. This section is notoriously difficult to photograph.
