Love Trails from Zero’s music is difficult to enjoy with the text-beeping sound that plays when there is dialogue. It doesn’t appear to be possible to disable it in the game’s settings, as in other Trails games. Therefore, until NISA adds one to the game, you must manually change two files to remove it.

It’s easy.

How to do it

1 – Locate the game’s installation site

Right-click the game in Steam and click Manage. Click Browse Local Files

2 – Open data_pc folder, then se folder

3 – Locate the files ed7se005.opus & ed7se000.opus, and rename them. (eg. Add dashes to the) names

ed7se000 sounds when text scrolls in a dialogue box, and ed7se005 sounds when the dialogue is advanced with a button push.

4 – If the game is not running, restart it.

The instructions for playing the game on Steam Deck are the same. Start Steam in Desktop Mode. Follow the instructions to return to Gaming Mode.
