Hello and welcome, This The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth – How to fix the DLC Guide was created to help you.
Afterbirth+ DLC caused my game to frequently crash, so here’s how I rectified it:
How to fix the DLC!
I have been looking for a solution for a while with no luck when suddenly I found 2 folders that contained settings for both afterbirth DLCs.
I had to search for the folder in ‘This PC’
One was located in “C:\Users\*usernamegoeshere*\Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Afterbirth”
The second one was located in “C:\Users\*usernamegoeshere*\Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+”
Both option files were named options.ini and I realized the settings for afterbirth+ were different than the other one so I changed it.
Then when I ran the game, it didn’t crash.
I hope this helps you as much as it helped me!
Here are the settings that fixed the crash for me (copy and paste it into your options.ini file for afterbirth+):
