1. King Slime

The King Slime is a pre-hard-modded boss. Added in update 1.0.4. Appears on the surface or in dungeons.

Description

It looks like a huge Blue Slug with a bejeweled golden crown on its head and something like a ninja inside.

When the Royal Slug takes damage, regular Blue Slugs appear (as well as Spiked Slugs in Expert and Master modes), and the boss itself shrinks in size.

Since version 1.1, the boss can be summoned using the crown of slugs.

Can be called at any time. It is immune to poisoning.

In version 1.3 of the game, a crown appears on the slug’s head, he also learned to teleport to the player after a characteristic animation – the boss sharply decreases in size, drops his crown and appears in the player’s place (the crown will not disappear from the sprite)

Since version 1.0.5, the king slug is limited in spawning to 1 individual at a time. In version 1.2.2, it is possible that the King of Slugs will spawn on the same day, immediately after killing the first boss that spawns. Starting from version 1.3 of the game, it can appear after killing 150 slugs during a slug (75 if he was killed at least 1 time in the current world).

Sometimes, when using the crown of slugs, music starts playing, as in the battle with the boss, but the royal slug is not visible nearby. This usually happens because it appeared underground. In such cases, it can be difficult to determine its location.

Prior to version 1.4.0.1, he could be killed simply by climbing on the ropes. After 1.4.0.1, if the player is on a rope, it teleports directly to the player, and not to the ground, which makes it much more difficult for inexperienced players to fight with him.
