Introduction

Probably by now you have already a character and a world. If not I recommend creating a softcore character and random if you can’t decide. Crimson is a bit harder but has slightly better equipment and corruption is slightly easier but has worse gear. Which world evil you choose depends on you.

Take note! This guide will only guide you through the needed bosses to progress. Any optional boss will be excluded

First Steps

Once you have entered your world you will see a NPC called The guide, he can give you tips on how to progress in the game if you’re stuck. Start by equipping your axe and cutting down trees, once you have enough, press Esc and you will see your inventory, crafting and equipment on the right side of the screen. Head to the crafting section on the bottom left and craft a workbench. Place it down and now you can craft basic equipment.

Eye of Cthulhu

You’ve probably already gone exploring in the mines, and found loot in chests. If you have found an object called Suspicious looking eye, then you can summon the Eye of Cthulhu at night, it also has a 1/3 chance of spawning automatically each night, if the following conditions apply:
-The Eye of Cthulhu has not yet been defeated in the current world.
-At least one player in the world has at least 200 maximum health and more than 10 defense.
-At least three Town NPCs have been acquired.
I recommend building two long platform so you can move freely while fighting the boss
After defeating it, it will drop ore depending on your world evil so you can craft new weapons.

Eater of Worlds / Brain of Cthulhu

Depending on your world evil, a unique boss will spawn in each biome
In a corruption world the Eater of Worlds will spawn and in crimson the Brain of Cthulhu will spawn. If you have crafted a pickaxe with the ore you acquired for the Eye of Cthulhu then you can mine infected blocks, otherwise you can use bombs to explode the blocks. To summon the boss, you need to smash 3 shadow orbs or crimson hearts, they will also drop loot like a musket allowing the Arms Dealer to arrive in your world if you didn’t have a gun already. After defeating the Eater of Worlds, it will drop shadow scales allowing you to do craft Shadow Armor, the Creepers summoned by the Brain of Cthulhu drop Tissue sample allow you to craft the crimson variant of the armor. Once you have smashed at least one altar, a meteorite will crash on your world and now you can mine it. Be careful though, if you step on it it will burn you.

Wall of flesh

First mine a hole all the way to bottom of the world where you will find the underworld. Killing a voodoo demon will drop a guide voodoo doll. Throw it in the lava to summon the wall of flesh. Before doing that make sure to make a long platform to fight the wall of flesh. I recommend using Beenades from the Queen Bee located in a Bee hive in the Underground Jungle. Once you have defeated the Wall of flesh. Your world is now in Hardmode, your world will now contain harder enemies and more content to explore. A s*rip of corruption and hallow have spawned in your world and now spread a lot faster. Your world may look like this now. Note that the pink block are the hallow and that the purple is corruption

And the underground corruption biome now exists with remixed music containing both the Underground theme mixed with the Corruption theme. This guide only contains Pre-Hardmode content so right now its finished. If it has helped you please like so it can help more people. It’s my first guide so it might be not that good.
