How to complete the 11 new achievements in the 1.4.4 Labour of Love update.
 

An Eye for an Eye

 
"Defeat Deerclops the cold one-eyed monstrosity of a foreign country."
 
 
Simply defeat Deerclops to achieve this. Although the boss can be spawned naturally, it requires a Blizzard at night and at least one player to have either 9 defense or 200 health. Crafting a Deer Thing is easier, which can summon Deerclops if used in a Snow Biome.
 
 
A Deer Thing is possible using 3xFlinx Fur and 1xLens. There are also 5xDemonite/Crimtane Ore.
 
 
 

Feast of Midas

 
"Get Golden Delight, the highest quality meal of the highest quality made from the finest quality. . . ingredients."
 
 
This achievement can be achieved by simply crafting a Golden Delight. This is done using a 24-A29119501A in a Cooking Pan.
 
 
This achievement can be obtained by using Journey mode. You will need to search for the Can of Worms in surface chests. You can then duplicate the item and keep opening them until your Gold Worm.
 
 
 

Unusual Survival Strategies

 
Drinking water can prevent drowning. It doesn't make sense, but you did what was necessary.
 
 
You will need a Bottle of Water to achieve this feat.
 
 
 

Black Mirror

 
"Obtain the Cell Phone. It will be your only phone and you won't leave home without it.
 
 
This achievement can only be unlocked if you have a Cell PhoneA in your inventory. If you have previously made one, this achievement will automatically unlock. If you don't have one, you will need to craft one.
 
 
There are many crafting steps for the Cell Phone. The base items you will need are:
 
 

• Gold/Platinum Watch
• Depth Meter
• Compass
• Radar
• Tally Counter
• Lifeform Analyser
• DPS Meter
• Stopwatch
• Metal Detector
• The Pocket Guide to Fisherman's Fishing
• Weather Radio
• Sextant
• Magic/Ice Mirror

 
 
These items will be combined at the Tinkerer’s Workshop to create: a 24-A29117760A; a 24-A29111734A; and a 24-A29113654A. These four items can be combined to make a PDA. You then craft the Magic/Ice Mirror for the Cell Phone.
 
 
 

Ankhumulation Complete

 
"Ask for the Ankh Shield, the best protection against unpleasant maladies and illnesses."
 
 
This achievement is identical to the Black Mirror achievement but with the Ankh Shield instead. This achievement will unlock automatically if it is already in your inventory. If you don't have one, you will need to craft one.
 
 
The Ankh Shield also features a large crafting tree. The base items you need to do this are:
 
 

• Obsidian Skull
• Cobalt Shield
• Blindfold
• Vitamins
• Polish Armour
• Adhesive Bandage
• Bezoar
• Nazar
• Megaphone
• Trifold Map
• Fast Clock

 
 
These are then combined in pairs to create: an Obsidian Shield or an Armour Bracing. These four combine with the 24-A29116362A to make a Ankh Charm. You can also combine the Obsidian Shield with the Obsidian Shield for the Ankh Shield.
 
 
 

Torch God

 
"Invoked the wrath and the God of Torches and survived long enough for its blessing."
 
 
This achievement can be achieved by having consumed the Torch God's Favour. If you have done this before, it will unlock automatically.
 
 
To obtain the Torch God's Favour you must survive the Torch God Event. This is done by placing at least 101 torchlets close together in the Underground or Cavern layers. If you are in the Surface layer, the event will not begin. This event will be much easier if you have a small arena and some mobility accessories.
 
 
 

A Rare Realm

 
"Some very special seeds can lead you to unique and rewarding experiences. Is it possible to find one?
 
 
Simply enter any world created with one of these secret seeds to achieve this feat. These seeds can be placed in the seedbox to create a world. You have many options, all of which will work, and all are case-insensitive.

The Great Slime Mitosis

 
"Find all the Slime Pets, and have them move in!"
 
 
To achieve this achievement, you must have all 8 town slimes. Each one has its own requirements and are shown here.
 
 
The Lifeform Analyser will have the Clumsy Slime and Old Shaking Chest as well as the Mystic Frog. This makes it a useful accessory for finding them. I also recommend the Guide to Critter Companionship To prevent you from accidentally killing the Mystic Fog.
 
 

• Cool Slime – Can move into a Party that is active.
• Clumsy Slime can be found floating in the Space Layer with a balloon on windy days.
• Surly Slime – Can be fished up during the Blood Moon.
• Nerdy Slime – Moves in after killing King Slime.
• Elder Slime – Enters after unlocking an Old Shaking Chest located in the Cavern Layer using a Golden Key.
• Diva Slime- After throwing a Sparkle Slime Balloon into Shimmer, she moves in.
• Mystic Slime – Moves in after using Purification Powder to a Mystic Frog from the Jungle.
• Squire Slime – Moves in after dropping a Copper Helmet onto a Slime.

 
 
 

A Shimmer in the Dark

 
"Shimmer an object into another. What other transmutations are possible?
 
 
To achieve this achievement, you must drop a Clentaminator in Shimmer. This is the new fluid that was added to the game with this update. After soaking the liquid for a while, it will turn into the Terraformer. You can then pick this up to earn the achievement.
 
 
Shimmer can be generated naturally in 1.4.4 worlds underground by swimming in pools. You can also make a Bottomless Shimmer Bucket by combining 10xLuminite Bars with 1xBottomless Water Bucket. It is a reward for completing Angler Quests. It has a 1/70 chance of dropping after the tenth quest.

"Completely purify any Corruption, Crimson and Hallow from Your World, Until the Dryad is satisfied!"
 
 
To achieve this achievement, you must talk with the dryad in a world that is free from Corruption, Crimson, and Hallow. The Dryad takes one day to notice any changes. If you have just cleaned the world, you might not be able to get this one immediately.
 
 
This achievement is easiest if you create a new small universe, defeat one boss, and then build a house for Dryad to live in. Then, remove the evil biome. The Clentaminator or the Terraformer, as well as the Green Solution are the best tools for removing the evil biome.
 
 
 

To Infinity… and Beyond

 
"Fly a Kwad Racer to outer space"
 
 
Buy a Kwad Racer Drone or FPV Goggles Cyborg to achieve this feat. After defeating Plantera, who will move in? After defeating Plantera, equip the FPV Goggles and fly the Kwad Racer Drone to the highest altitude.
 
 
This may not work on large worlds right now, so if you have difficulty, try it on a larger world.
