Bots are annoying, read this guide to find out how you can destroy these bots. When Valve finally fixes this game, you can use this knowledge against other ‘Epic Pro Gamer’. Bear in mind that this is what I’ve gained from my own experience dealing with bots, yours may be different.

Introduction

I’ll basically tell what I’ve learned playing casual with bots and how I counter them. Different bots are from different individuals, so their accuracy may vary, some bots are better than others. Different server regions may have different types of bots. This guide is incomplete and I’ll try to update it.

Non-Class Specific

If there’s a bot on the team and they are unable/refuse to kick it, you could follow these simple strategies to counter them:-

  1. Ask one of your teammates to play medic and pocket you if you’re confident you can kill at least one bot with/without a Medic’s help. If you’re unable to kill a bot you can become the pocket medic and help other players to counter the bots. (Preferably using the Vaccinator)
  2. You can try closing the distance between you and them and get as close as possible to the bot in order to lower their accuracy. You could approach them while they are out of ammo, focusing other players, have their melee out, etc. (Bot can still kill you even if done correctly)

Class Specific

Sniper

If you’re a good sniper you can probably headshot some of the bots you encounter, especially with a medic’s help. Find some cover that you can easily hide behind and take the shot when the bot is distracted. If you can’t headshot them, use the ‘Machina’ to body shot them. If the bot is close to you, you can use the ‘Jarate’ so that you or your teammates could easily kill them.
