Architect Artifacts
Architect Artifacts is a collective term for notable pieces of architecture or technology left behind by The Architects.
As more artifacts are scanned, the player will unlock Blueprints for Alterra-Architect hybrid technology and pings/hints to important Architect Bases. The blueprint unlocked depends on the amount of artifacts scanned, with the tiers being as follows:
(2/15) – Unlocks Quantum Locker
The Quantum Locker is a deployable storage container, similar to the Waterproof Locker. It is crafted using the Fabricator. All Quantum Lockers share the same contents. The Quantum Locker can be placed in the ocean and on land, but it cannot be placed inside of Seabases. When placed on land it floats above the ground, and floats in place when placed in the water.
(3/15) – Deep Lilypads Cave Cache Location
Shows location of the Deep Lilypads Cave cache to player.
(4/15) – Unlocks Recyclotron
The Recyclotron is a buildable Seabase Module that can break apart most inserted items into their crafting components. To use it, objects are placed into it in a similar manner to a storage device, then once the “Recycle” button is pressed the player can retrieve the broken-down materials. The Recyclotron will recycle items according to their recipes, for example, a Flashlight will give the player one Glass and one Battery. Lifeforms cannot be recycled in the Recyclotron. Batteries, Power Cells, Ion Batteries, and Ion Power Cells can only be recycled when fully charged. Depleted Reactor Rods cannot be recycled.
(5/15) – Arctic Spires Cache Location
Shows location of the Arctic Spires Cache to player.
(6/15) – Unlocks Ion Battery and Ion Power Cell
Ion Battery
The Ion Battery is an electronic item crafted using the Fabricator. It functions identically to a normal Battery, but holds five times as much Energy (500), at the cost of taking five times longer to charge.
Ion Power Cell
Ion Power Cells are electronic items crafted using the Fabricator. They function identically to normal Power Cells but hold five times as much power, at the cost of taking five times longer to be fully charged. A single Ion Power Cell has a maximum energy capacity of 1000.
(10/15) – Unlocks Tether Tool and Seatruck Teleportation Module
Tether Tool
The Tether Tool is a tool that allows the player to teleport back to their Seatruck Teleportation Module from a distance. The tether connects to the Teleportation Module, which is required for it to work.
Seatruck Teleportation Module
The Seatruck Teleportation Module is a Seatruck module that allows the player to teleport to the Seatruck using a Tether Tool. Said Tether spawns inside the module once built. There is currently no reward for scanning 15 artifacts.

Architect Bases
Architect Bases are ancient structures that are located around 4546B. Three are found in Sector Zero.
Sanctuary Zero
Sanctuary Zero is an Architect Base that is located in the Twisty Bridges. 3 Ion Cubes can be found in the corridor leading into the Cube Room. Alien Robots also patrol this area. The area leading up to the Cube Room is a large cavern with several bridges, one of which has been destroyed by a large boulder. Water can be seen leaking from the top of the cavern. At the far end of the cavern is a corridor Leading up to the Cube Room.
Sanctuary Zero is a location that Robin Ayou visits while she is stranded in Sector Zero. After receiving an Alien Transmission from the Sanctuary, Robin attempts to locate the facility and discover the source. When Robin enters the facility, she encounters Al-An. An announcement from the Sanctuary reveals that the facility's power is low, and that Al-An will die if not removed from the Sanctuary. Robin attempts to save Al-An by downloading him onto her PDA, but accidentally downloads him into her brain. The Sanctuary then powers down, and Robin exits with Al-An still in her brain.

Fabricator Base
The Fabricator Base is an Architect Base located in the Fabricator Caverns. The Fabricator Base, as the name suggests, contains several fabricators capable of creating a new body for Al-An. The blueprint for the body requires scanning all Architect body parts that can be found around the map in Architect Caches. Each body part is constructed individually at three small fabricators at the left side of the room. Once all body parts have been fabricated, Al-An's organic storage medium can be assembled inside the large fluid tank in the center of the room.
As the player creates Al-An's Vessel and the parts to the vessel, the room will slowly differ in appearance as multiple light fixtures will activate and start to illuminate room.

Architect Phase Gate Facility
The Architect Phase Gate Facility is an Alien Base near Outpost Zero. Depending on whether the player has already acquired Al-An or not, a forcefield will prevent entry. Should Al-An be in Robin's head, it will shut down upon approach. While the player can find Architect Phase Gate Facility at any point in the story, it can only be accessed once Al-An has taken residence in Robin's mind.
Once Al-An has acquired a new vessel, he suggests that Robin meet with him at the site. It is assumed that from here, Al-An will be able to return to the Architect homeworld via phase gate.
