Starfield – Tips on How to Travel Fast Other Star Systems
Get Around on Planets in Starfield
Fast travel in Starfield starts when you’re on planet Kreet. Later in the game, when you’re in New Atlantis, you’ll find even more ways to move around. Here’s how to fast travel while you’re on a planet:
First, open the menu and find the map in the top-left. This map shows you places on the planet or moon you’re on. Pick a spot like a landmark, landing zone, or even your ship. But remember, you can’t use this fast travel if you’re in a fight, carrying too much stuff, or inside a place like a cave.
Looking at a map of New Atlantis? You’ll see six travel spots: the place to dock your ship, places where people live and shop, the MAST area, the Lodge, and your own ship. Explore more, and you might find new spots. Just make sure not to land in water.
Jumping Between Stars
Want to jump to a whole different star system? Here’s how:
First, open your map and switch to the star map view. Pick the star system you want to go to. But you can only jump to places you’ve found a path to before.
Doing a grav jump? Here’s what you need to know:
- Setting Up Power: In space? Give power to the grav drive (GRV) on the bottom-left of your screen. You might need to take power from other things like weapons or shields.
- How Power Affects Jumping: The power you give changes how fast the jump happens. Like, with +3 power, the jump starts in four seconds.
- Jumping in Fights: Even if you’re in a fight, you can do a grav jump. This can help if bad guys are too strong when you get to a new planet.
- Jumping to a Quest: Want to go straight to your quest? Just pick “set course” in the pause menu. If you’re using an Xbox, press the X button.
With these tricks, you can zip around Starfield super fast. So, whether you’re on a planet or jumping between stars, you’ll always know the quickest way!
