One of the few tricks of making gold that eludes you.

Introduction

Tea Sapling worth at 500g each with recipe require

Stardew Valley - The Myth of Tea Sapling any wild seeds x 2
Stardew Valley - The Myth of Tea Sapling fiber x 5 (mine at level 25-29)
Stardew Valley - The Myth of Tea Sapling wood x 5

You get it through mail after having 2 -hearts event with Caroline at her sunroom (via the door of Caroline’s kitchen around 9am to 5pm when its not Wednesday of rainy day). There’s no telling in the game that guide you to the sunroom once you attain 2-hearts with her, so this basically eludes you.

Do the math

So why this crucial, is if you “do the math”, which each season providing 3-4 types of foraging ingredients, which allow you to make 10 wild seeds, you should end up with 2500g from each season set if you sell them as Tea Sapling. If you deduce the worth of wood and fiber which you can obtain them easily, you can measure the worth each foraging plants/fruits as:-

Spring, Fall, Winter (4 types) = 625g ea
Summer (3 types) = 833 ea

That’s quite a lot considering a diamond is worth at 750g, so you should treat foraging like finding a diamond at the very least.

If you tight on schedule especially on your 1st spring getting the Quality Sprinkler, you should rush giving Daffodil to Caroline too. If you lucky to get the traveling merchant selling Summer Spangle (Friday and Sunday), you’ll be in no time to having more gold asap. With these you can save your hard earn gold to buy 100 strawberry seeds in the 13th Spring, while giving you more gold at the end of spring. By 1st summer you should have enough gold to buy seeds and upgrade your house too.

Replanting Gold Rate

If you replant the wild seeds, which return you with more wild seeds, you can measure gold rate per day as

625. / 7 (7 days growth rate) = 89g per day ea
833g/7 (summer seeds) = 119g per day ea

Highest crop gold per day is Ancient Seeds at 57g per day (wiki), which fairly hard to obtain early on. Where as you can even grow wild seeds in the winter too, this pretty much out weight every gold making on tiller profession.

Comparing with hops, which if you plant on 1st summer, which will neat you about 15 hops (actual 17, minus 2 consider putting into keg which require extra 2 days) per crop by the end of summer will neat you about 420g ea with total of 6300g on Artisan brew into pale ale. But these setup is unrealistic early on which require about 15 kegs per crop to meet the dateline gold. If we take account the farm grid to measure the net value of hops

Grid space use Monthly net income Grid Space value
16(15 kegs + 1 trelli hop) 6300g(420g x 15) 420g/per tile
1 (wild seeds) 3332g(833g x 4) 3332g/per tile

If you consider all these and include the green house into the equation + winter farms of wild seeds, farming wild seeds does make the bulk of gold per per tile worth more than you can think. Though you can place keg indoors and places you can’t till also should be measured, there are other things to consider like picking mushroom instead of bats for the cave, that net with a lot of common mushroom which you can turn it into 1-3 wild seeds in Seed Maker. Also have to consider you ‘ll be cutting weeds/trees sometime.

Since wild seed works in winter, basically your farm is the green house. Until you have uber/mega count of kegs up, replanting wild seeds is a worthy endeavors.
