Starbase – Guide for Chat Commands Channel in Game

Chat Channel Basics

 
/zone is for a large region of space near you 
/station is for everyone at your current station 
/say is the shortest range local chat 
/whisper targetname sends a PM to targetname 
 
You can send text on a specific channel by doing the slash command followed by your text. It will remember your current channel. Just press enter to open chat. 
 
On the right side of the chat box is a settings button where you can show or hide certain channels, but by default you see all of them. You can send and receive on each of them without having to “connect” to them.
