Hey there, welcome to this post, STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor™ – Achievements Won’t Unlock on Steam guide.
This guide will a*sist you if you’re having difficulties with Achievements on Steam not unlocking.
Step by Step
What should you do:
Uninstall Origin/EA Play (if it was installed previously)
2 – 2. Download the Origin Offline Installer. You can download it using this drop box link I found:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/o7auc5k5zmiudde/OriginSetup.exe?dl=1 – [dropbox.com]
Install Origin and make sure you remove “keep my games and origin up-to-date” (the box should be gray with no tick).
Important: Once you have installed do not sign into your account.
4 – Go to “C:\ProgramData\Origin” and open the file “local.xml” with Notepad.
Before the last line, </Settings>, copy paste the below line:
<Setting key=”MigrationDisabled” type=”1″ value=”true”/>
Make sure to press Enter after the line before ” to create a new line for the function you need to paste.
If you’re having difficulty finding “PrgramData” You may have to reveal some hidden folders. To do this, choose “Appearance” from the Windows control panel, then click on “show Hidden Files and Folders” and then click “Hidden Files and Folders”, and select the second option that says “show Hidden folders, files, and drivers”. Click “apply” to finish.
5 – Delete the files called “OriginThinSetupInternal.exe” which can be located at :
C:\Program Files (x86 – \Origin
C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Local\Origin\ThinSetup\10.5.118.52644
C:\ProgramData\Origin\SelfUpdate\Staged
If you’re missing any of the three, look for “originthin” and then delete the files.
6 – To prevent Steam from force installing EA play on game launch, go into your game folder in “SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Jedi Survivor\__Installer\Origin\redist\internal”, then delete the file “EAappInstaller.exe”.
Also, open “SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Jedi Survivor\InstallScript.vdf” with Notepad, find “EAappinstaller.exe” and scroll all the way down (or ctrl+F to search) to find and change the following from “true” to “false” (you need to manually delete true and type in the word false in its place).
Log into your Origin Account. If the client asks you to update, don’t.
It’s time to address this issue right now.
