This guide is for people who cannot change the game settings.

Introduction

This guide is for people who are unable to change the game settings through the ingame menu or have difficulty changing resolution, graphics, and other issues.

I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how we can change these settings from outside the game. Finally, I found the answer. I decided to create this guid to make it easier for everyone to enjoy this game.

How to Change the Settings

The game saves all settings to the system Registry. To open the Registry Editor, press WIN + R and then type 22A1506443434A. Once you have opened the editor, navigate to the game keys.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Activision\Spider-Man (TM) SD\Settings\Display

This is what you’ll see:

Each value is a game setting, but we’re gonna go through them on their specific section. To change a value, double-click a value and BE SURE will select Base as Decimal.

Now we can make the changes we want.

Display Settings

Resolution

There are two resolution keys: Width or Height. To change these values, double-click them, change the base value to Decimal, and then type the resolution you desire.

For example, you could use 2560 as Width for 1440p and 1440 as 23A15065738A.

Your monitor must be able to support the resolution for it to work.

Full Screen

You can turn off fullscreen by changing Fullscreen from 0.

To turn it on, simply change Fullscreen from 1

V-Sync

You can turn off vertical sync by changing VSync from 0.

To turn it on, simply change VSync from 1

Graphics Settings

Presets

I have the game presets for quick settings changes if you’re in a hurry. You just need to change DWORDs to your desired value.

Texture Filter

Let’s begin with the easiest to modify. You can change the value MaxAnisp to select the preferred Texture Filter.

Anisotropic	2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 or 16

 

Post Processing Effects

There are three types of post processing effects: Bloom, Depth of Field and Heat Effect.

However, there is only one DWORD value that can save all three settings at once. I did some tests and created a table to help you make this choice.

You will now need to change RenderingFlags into the desired value.

High Quality Settings

Finally, we reached the most difficult settings in this guide. As Post Processing, there’s only one DWORD value that can change 5 settings for Quality. This was difficult to understand, but it is very simple.

Now, to get the value you want with the settings you choose, you must do a sum total of all the values you desire.

Let’s say I want Shadows on High (+4 – and, Soft Particles ON (+32 –, Light Shaft On High(+256), Border Dectection at Normal(+512-e, and Halo Normal(+4096-e – my final value would then be:

4+32+256+512+4096 = 4900

Now, we will modify QualitySettings into our final value (in this instance 4900 A17Y).

Remember to always choose Base as Decimal

Conclusion
