Cheats in SF2 let you add money, resources, or disable fog of war. However, they are only available in the main story mode. They are not available in Free Game. There is no cheat to increase ability points.

This tutorial will show you how to add money/cash and experience using ArtMoney. This works in Shadow Wars and Dragon Storm, as well as Free Play. It may also work in other Spellforce2 games, but I don’t know if they exist.

Prerequisites

Sorry for the images. They do not load when they are clicked with LMB. They work if opened in a new browser.

ArtMoney: How to set it up

Download ArtMoney
Here – [artmoney.ru]

Install it. You only need the free version.

Launch Spellforce 2 and ArtMoney. ArtMoney should detect “Spellforce 2”.

ArtMoney will search for specific =integer values, filter the results to find the exact address we are looking for (cash or experience or assignable skills points)).

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Setting up ArtMoney - D420C27

You need to have a hero on a map in order to change cash, experience, or skill points. The next sections will explain how to do this. You should not load a save, leave your map, or go to the main menu during searching for and filtering values. They are applied by the game.

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Setting up ArtMoney - 8590946

Select the options Integer, Integer 2 bytes, and Integer 4 bytes from the triple dots section. This is what we will use. The rest of the settings are default so don’t modify them.

Adding money/cash

Money can be added using regular console commands in the story mode. However, console commands are not available in the free game mode so ArtMoney is very useful.

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding money/cash - A5F2C6F

You will need:

  • Some starting cash
  • You can trade with a merchant
  • You can either sell or buy back an item from the merchant

Our Hero (Avatar) is 79 gold. ArtMoney will therefore SEARCH that number. Remember that we search for exact) values for Integer and = values.

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding money/cash - 84A08C2

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding money/cash - C305885

It returned almost 600000 results. The value we are trying to find is somewhere around there, so we will need filter the results.

The results are filtered by changing the amount in-game by either selling or buying. One item will be sold and cash goes up to 132.

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding money/cash - 5CEE000

We now go back to ArtMoney by pressing FILTER. We go back to ArtMoney and press FILTER. The type = integer is again used. The value is the new amount, 132. It will filter the results using the new cash amount.

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding money/cash - D325964

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding money/cash - 391B706

The number was now 65. This is a much better result, but we need to be more precise in order to identify the one we are looking.

To filter the results further, you can change the amount of money in-game by buying or selling something from the merchant.

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding money/cash - C943E20

We have 53 cash. Therefore, we will filter again for ArtMoney’s integer value 53.

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding money/cash - 2AD91EB

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding money/cash - A72D873

Now we have three results. Two of them are integers that represent money. I will filter the results again to remove one of them.

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding money/cash - 3732E9B

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding money/cash - B947013

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding money/cash - 3FA61EB

Now we have the two integer numbers. These represent the amount of money your hero carries. These two values can be moved by pressing the red button (to move them to the right. The green button moves all other values to the left).

We can modify the values on the right side. Both of them show 185 which is the actual amount my Hero has in his wallet. I will change his cash to 456789 by changing both addresses (double LMB and clicking the number). I will also save the value by pressing LMB (on something else (), for example, on the address). This will close the “typing” window and save the new value.

I now go alt-tab back in the game and see the money that I have printed. I can spend it on the best equipment in the shop.

Adding experience/levels

I hope you have learned how to use ArtMoney to change something as simple as cash. You will need to have experience in order to change experience using ArtMoney.

Prerequisites:

  • It is preferable to have some experience in the beginning. The higher the number, better.
  • You can access some experience source that you can easily access. It is (. This NPC is a NPC in the main storyline, before you finish a sidequest, or a mob that gives XP when killed. It will be used to filter the first result in the integers search for your XP amount.

I will show how to increase your experience and quickly get to level 30 (maximum. Even though this method isn’t able to reach level 31, it will just lower your XP number by 1 point.

Important to note that you will not receive the assignable skill points if you jump straight to level 30. You will get all 29 points for your main hero, and all 23 points for your followers if you reach level 30 and 24, respectively.

Based on Shadow Wars’ beginning, I will show how to increase your level 30. In Free Game, you can do the same in Rushwater Downs (. There are lvl1 mobs who always give 50XP when they are killed).

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding experience/levels - 72D4552

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding experience/levels - 42F4F6A

Your Hero will receive 45 XP after killing the first wolf. I pause the game to ensure my Hero doesn’t kill another wolf, and then search ArtMoney for the integer with the 45 integer value integer.

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding experience/levels - B880B81

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding experience/levels - 93EDC10

ArtMoney uncovered over 1.5 million matching results. This is because low values are common. If I had more experience (=bigger number) it would result in fewer results and would only require one filtering after the initial search. After the initial search, I will get the XP I have already found. In this case, it’s killing another wolf.

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding experience/levels - BFB22FC

Now I have 90XP, and that’s the integer I will filter by.

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding experience/levels - FA63E4F

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding experience/levels - 727AC64

Now I have 45 results. Very close. But, I need to find one integer number. It was two addresses in cash, but with experience and skill points, it’s only one address I need. To get rid of any results that are not relevant to my search, I will shuffle my inventory and move my hero around a bit. After moving my hero and shuffled the inventory, I will filter the experience I have by the number of XP I have. This is still 90 XP since I have not gained any since killing the second Wolf.

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding experience/levels - BE0438A

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding experience/levels - CA515F2

This got me down to four addresses, so I will do this again.

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding experience/levels - 8DE1589

I don’t have enough experience to filter the results to ONE address. After teleporting Lya and resurrecting her, it’s done. I now have 160 XP. This is the number I will use to filter the remaining addresses and find the one we are interested.

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding experience/levels - 782A621

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding experience/levels - AE67150

ArtMoney located the address responsible for my XP amount. I moved it to the right with the red arrow, and it shows 160 (). You can now change the number to any value you like. Here, I changed the value of 1000 to get 1000/270 experience in-game.

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding experience/levels - 3004139

You can level up and skip levels by getting experience “naturally”. This means that you have to move the story forward, do sidequests, or kill something that gives experience. You can save your game and your experience won’t be lost if the game is reloaded or you leave the map to warp to another island. Any amount of experience I gain will be added to the 1000 I wrote down. I will then get the level that that number of experience is granting. In this case, that was level 4 (. I skipped level 3, and instead jumped straight to level 4. Killing that spider gave me some experience, and I leveled up. This is also represented in ArtMoney. The value is now 1142, not 1000.

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding experience/levels - 9DBE956

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding experience/levels - 2A02A3C

You need at least 270000 years of experience to jump straight to the top (30-level) level. You can increase your experience to this value and gain experience “naturally”. This lever can be moved to gain some experience. My Hero reached level 30 and earned 29 skill points.

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding experience/levels - F11622A

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding experience/levels - 2EDB862

As I mentioned, it is impossible to modify the XP to reach lvl 31, because the game prevents the Hero leveling up to lvl 31, by pushing the XP below 430000000 to 429999999. So 270000 is all that you need.

I don’t have exact levels and XP tables. But here are some levels along with their experience:

1000 XP = lvl 4.

15000 XP = Level 11

250000 XP = lvl29

270000 XP = Level 30

Adding assignable skill points

ArtMoney’s most important feature is the ability to add skill points. It’s easy to get cash and it’s a speed up to finish the story. Your main Hero can only get 29 skill points, which you can spend on the skill tree. Your minor heroes, or followers, can reach 24 level, so they only get 23 points for their skill trees. A skill point in your skill tree can be used to give you a flat maximum HP or Mana stats. This makes your hero more resilient than normal.

Prerequisites:

  • A Hero who has at least 3-4 skill points can be used for filtering. It is very easy to achieve this level if you artificially boost your hero to Level 30 with ArtMoney.
  • You can increase the skill points you can assign to your Hero and all your followers (maximum lvl 24, but they are more difficult to obtain than some of the points they normally assign themselves).

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding assignable skill points - A5D3CFA

Here I start with a Hero with 9 skill points. That’s why I start my search with integer, value 9.

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding assignable skill points - 91899F3

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding assignable skill points - 35872E7

The result is over 2 million matching results. This is because a low number is often a common one. I need to filter the results several times. I will first shuffle my inventory and change my equipment. Then, I will move my Hero around a bit. I will also spend one skill points on something in my tree. This leaves me with 8 skill points, and that’s the value I will use to filter the results.

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Adding assignable skill points - 633D85B

603 matches were found. This is quite impressive, but we need one address. So I will shuffle my inventory (including followers)), move around my heroes, and spend another point. This leaves me with 7 assignable point, which is the value I will use to filter the results.

There are only 15 addresses left. I need to find one. Although I could shuffle my inventory in infinite without spending more points it might not produce good results. Instead, if I have a lot assignable skill point left (, for example, after pumping my Hero up to lvl 30, ArtMoney), it is faster to spend one skillpoint and filter again using the remaining assignable skill point. ArtMoney finally finds the address I’m looking for when I reach 5 skill points.

We can see that the value is correct as my Hero has 5 assignable skills points. To fill the entire Shadow Wars skill tree, I will add 86 that number (does not change to 85, but add 85 to 5. – Since I have 5 unassigned skills points (and only level 10 meaning I will still receive 20 points from levels)), that means I can fill the entire skill trees without any remaining points. I also need to add to the 85 points I already have. I then change the number to 5+85 which is 90. My Hero at lvl 30, who is now a level 30 Hero, will lose 20 points from filling the entire skill tree by replacing the number 5 with 85. Next chapter will explain why it’s 85 in this instance. [Ignore the 12365 Value, that’s the Hero’s experience].

Now I return to the game and click on something to refresh my skill tree. I find that I have an absurdly high number of 90 skill points. Nice. Each of these, when you are assigned, will give additional flat HP or Mana.

Shadow Wars and Dragon Storm: Skill point trees

You can add as many assignable skills points as you like, regardless of whether it’s less or more than the maximum assignable. Too many points can make the golden cross in the top-right corner of the skill tree visible (. It’s also impossible to make disappear once the entire skill tree has been filled). Here’s a quick tutorial on how to assign skill trees maximum points and how to fill the entire skill tree with enough skill points. The rules are the same for story mode as free games, but be aware that Shadow Wars and Dragon Storm have additional Shaikan trees.

The maximum amount of skill points you can spend in combat skill tree is 57.

The maximum amount of skill points you can spend in the Magic skill tree is 57.

[only Dragon Storm] Shaikan skill tree can only be spent on 21 skills points

Shadow Wars has 114 total assignable skill points across all its skill trees.

Dragon Storm has 135 total assignable skill points across all its skill trees.

Main Hero (Avatar) always earns 29 points by leveling up to level 30 (, no skill point at level 1.

From leveling up to the main Hero’s level 30, followers always receive 23 points (no skill points on level 1-).

Shadow Wars Hero (Avatar) Followers
Maximum assignable skill points 114 114
Level up to earn Skill Points 29 23
Unassigned skill points

(Skill points to include ArtMoney)

85 91

Dragon Storm Hero (Avatar) Followers
Maximum assignable skill points 135 135
Level up to earn Skill Points 29 23
Unassigned skill points

(Skill points to include ArtMoney)

106 112

Shadow Wars requires you to add 85 points to your total number of assignable skill points to fill the entire skill tree. This is in addition to the 2540547A you have from leveling up. For example, if you had 25 points left [from leveling up], and you replaced that number with ArtMoney to 85 you would still be able to fill the entire skill tree.

Shadow Wars: To fill the entire skill tree of your followers, you must add 91 skill points to their remaining skill points [that they have from leveling up].

If you want to fill your Dragon Storm skill tree for your Main Hero (avatar), you will need to add an additional 106 points.

Dragon Storm: If you want to fill the skill tree of your followers, you will need to add 112 skill points to their remaining skill points [that they have from leveling up].

You can add skill points to your Hero and Followers if you need to fill less than 100 percent of the skill tree.

This is how a Hero with all skills looks in Shadow Wars (. 114 points total. 29 from leveling up, and 85 from ArtMoney). That would be 135 total assigned points for Dragon Storm.

SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition - How to to add money cheat guide - Skill point trees in Shadow Wars and Dragon Storm - F6D7919

Incredible HP and Mana! However, these are just flat stats. They will not make your heroes immortal. They will just be able to survive longer and fire more spells almost completely without worrying about mana.

Conclusions

This tutorial will show you how to modify in-game amounts with ArtMoney. It will cover cash, experience, and assignable skills points. I hope you have fun playing your game. I don’t know if it is possible to do more with the tool, such as item manipulation or adding OP items.
