SOULCALIBUR VI – Basic Strategy Guide 1 - steamlists.com
Hello, and welcome too my guide. I’m just gonna talk about a “strat”, that I use while I play the Arcade-mode.

Introduction

Okay, first thing’s first, you gotta unlock the “Legendary difficulty’ (if you haven’t already), by beating the Arcade mode on any difficulty (I’ve beaten mine, on the “very hard” difficulty, by the way).

After that, proceed on, too your first “legendary-opponent”.

Also too get a Gold medal, you gotta get a time, below 18 mins.

Opponent #1 Kilik

SOULCALIBUR VI - Basic Strategy Guide - Opponent #1 Kilik

Your first opponent, is always going too be Kilik (the same can be said, with the rest of the 8 arcade opponents, as they stay the same character’s throughout the run). You’ll be fighting on the “Indian port city” stage first, it’s packaged with two short “fence-like-walls” , on either side of the stage. (If you’re not careful, in stage’s with “Ring-outs”, the AI will not hesitate, too use them). The stage also comes with Maxi’s boat/random boat, too, so that’s nice.

The general strategy used here, would to consider it as a mirror match, as you’d be playing as Kilik too. So “mind-games”, “Pokes”, & whoever has the most range/knowledge of your move-set, would win. Back-AB-Hold, Quarter-circle-AB, AB-Hold, & Down-AB-Hold. (Yin-Yang, Heaven’s Monument/Monument, Legend rush, and Playful phoenix, respectfully). Could be abused pretty extensively, Throughout the whole run, for quick damage, “mind-games”, & “Button-cancels”.

“Bravely Folk Song”, “S.C II Cerv theme”, and “Halcyon Harbour/ the reprised version” are good music choices for this stage. “Standing against the Storm”, & the other “Boat-related” themes are good here too.

Here’s some side notes:
He likes to spam aerial combos.
He likes counter hits.
Ring outs galore.
& he also likes to CE\Soul Charge\Soul Attack, when cornered, or for “cheap” combo’s too.

Opponent #2 Mitsurugi

Mitsurugi….

“Momentum”, “Speed”, “Guard/Resist Impact’s”, “Ring-outs”, and “Spacing”, are your best friends here. The stage is the grasslands stage, by the way.

“Guided by the wind” is my go-too song, for this stage.

Side notes:
He’ll sometimes spam.
CE’s galore.
& a lot of lethal hits.

Opponent #3 Groh

“GI’s/RI’s”, getting behind him, & mix-ups/Horizontals, is the go-too strategy, for Groh. His stage is the “snow cavern” stage.

“Braver sword, braver soul”, & any other snow theme song, goes with this stage.

Side notes:
Verticals galore.
“Rue! You’re weakness!”
GI’s/RI’s galore.
CE’s galore.
Mix-ups.
& the occasional ring-out.

Opponent #4 Azwel

SOULCALIBUR VI - Basic Strategy Guide - Opponent #4 Azwel

He’s not that tough, he’s extremely open when changing stances, or when he’s going in for grabs. You fight at “the master swordsman’s temple”.

“Tempered soul”, is my go-too theme, for this stage.

Also if you’re here by the 3rd,4th, or 5th minute mark, you’re good, no need too worry about the timer.

Side Notes:
Ring-outs.
“Be careful!”.
& the occasional ranged attack.

Opponent’s #5, & #6. Zasalamel, & Cervantes de leon.

These fighters, rely on “gimmicks”, “quick attacks”, “spam”, “Ring-out’s”, range, & “Combo-starters”. Counter these, & you’re good to go.

You fight Zas, in “The Shrine of Eurydice stage”, and Cerv’s on the “Kunpateku temple stage”.

These stages are not really my favourite, so no music suggestions here.

Side Notes:
Zas always likes to get his filthy magic on you, he’ll even spam, too get it on you.
Cerv has predictable GI’s.
Cerv can actually ring himself out, if you’re lucky/good, with your spacing.

Opponent #7 Knight-of-Mare

SOULCALIBUR VI - Basic Strategy Guide - Opponent #7 Knight-of-Mare

Trip him, Side-step him, strike after he swings, & for the love of “Algol”, spam your un-block-able moves, he like’s his just frames (especially that horizontal swing).

You fight him at “Orthinesburg castle”.

“If there were no other way”, & “Raise thy Sword”, are my music suggestions for this stage.

If you made it here, around the 9th, or 10th minute mark, (8th, if you abused the ring outs, in the earlier stages). You’re on your way to that gold medal.

Side notes:
bubble spam.
defence-oriented style, for the AI.
“Bubble drill”, “Bubble fist”, “Horizontal just frame”, & his small knee kicks, are his go-too moves.

Opponent #8 Inferno.

SOULCALIBUR VI - Basic Strategy Guide - Opponent #8 Inferno.

Ah… Yes.. Inferno, on “Legendary difficulty” no-less..

Inferno’s the main boss of the game, he cheat’s, he spams, & he has unstoppable combos too boot. No wonder why, he’s banned from online-play.

As soon as the round begins, you have four options:
#1- Run up too him, & abuse “ominous drill”, your “un-block-ables”, & your appropriate counters.
#2- Use “playful phoenix” right away, & roll into your attack patterns.
#3- Abuse GI’s/RI’s/”mind-game”, type of moves.
#4- All of the above.

“Hellfire”, & any other “boss-type” music, for his stage. (It’s the chaos stage, by the way).

Side Notes:
Don’t let him wall-combo you.
Constantly GI/RI/avoid his combo-starters.
If he starts to play too deffensivly, don’t get too cocky, even his counter hit’s/grabs, chain into
combos.

Conclusion

Hopefully this guide somewhat helps, it took me a lot of tries too get this medal, as fast as possible (without cheating, or being “safe”). If you’ve beaten Inferno, under 8 minutes, by then, you’ll have gotten your medal
