Welcome. This Slime Rancher 2 – Yolky Slime Location and Egg Types Guide was written to be helpful to you, and we genuinely hope you do.

Yolky Slime!

 

• This will be updated as people share additional information or as I gather more!
• They can be found right next to chickens. They are numerous. I don’t know the exact spot. It is probably near the area where they spawn.
• I will be trying out suggestions as soon as I have the chance!
• These slimes are not vocal but can make a slight zip/yipping sound when vac’d or tossed about. It’s adorable.
• These slimes do not appear to have any diet. They don’t seem to have any mouths. It’s funny because they still squeak from time to time.

I will continue to play with and learn more about this slime. Could you send me your photos and findings? You should also note any fauna or slimes that are nearby. Thank you all for your patience! (Written as of 5 minutes before I went to bed.

Yolky slime appearance (WIP).

I’m still a beginner in creating guides. I will be updating this guide as I learn more.

They can lay large eggs! (WIP)

It turns out that they make the chickens eat BIG eggs!

It’s not clear what is causing it. [/b1]

The egg’s centre pulsates away from its normal color to a subsurface color like if there were a yolk or shiny plorts! inside.

Types

Yolky Slimes only seem to produce one types of eggs. Glowing. Then, it becomes a regular egg.

Glowing

Non-Glowing

I was told that the timer runs for about three minutes from when the glowy one was “layed”, to when it becomes a non-glowy.

Are they to be called “lit” and unlit eggs? Or “boiled”, or “unboiled?”

Cracking open the goods

To release some plorts, you can throw a glowing egg at it!

The number of plorts that are released from a glowing egg ranges from 2 to 6. A number chicks can also hatch simultaneously.

• The egg’s glow can affect the number and size of chicks.

 

Yolky Plort Market – VERY WIP!

According to what I have seen, the yolky potent has a minimum worth of 40. From what I have seen from the wiki I believe that the maximum is somewhere around 40. The image below is the highest I’ve seen.
