Pre-Requisits

 
To change the icon for SkaterXL there are a few things you need to have ready: 
 

-Resource Hacker

 
Resource hacker must be downloaded and installed.[/i] 
 
convertico.com – http://www.angusj.com/resourcehacker/ 
 
Alternatively you may use a .ico that I have already created.

Once you have both of these things we can continue with the guide. 
 
 
 
 

Swapping The Icons

 
1. Navigate to your SkaterXL install location, for most people it will be here. 
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skater XL 
 
2. Launch Resource Hacker 
 
3. Drag the SkaterXL.exe into resource hacker. 
 
4. Action –> Replace icon 
 
 
 
5. Select open file with new icon. 
 
 
 
6. Select your new .ico file and press open. 
 
 
 
7. Select Replace. 
 
 
 
8. Ctrl + S, you may now close out of resource hacker. The icon swap is complete. 
 
The changes wont show until windows explorer is restarted, to restart windows explorer you can restard your PC or follow this www.businessinsider.com – https://www.businessinsider.com/how-to-restart-windows-explorer
