SCP Object Classes

The SCP Foundation uses several classes to identify the SCPs. These classes do not directly affect how dangerous the SCP is, but are based on difficult it is to contain the SCP.

SCP Object Classes

  • Neutralized
  • Safe
  • Euclid
  • Keter
  • Thaumiel
  • Apollyon
  • Archon

The SCP Foundation – [wikidot.com]  uses the “Locked Box Test” as a very good way of explaining the classes.

  • If you lock it in a box, leave it alone, and nothing bad will happen, then it’s probably Safe.
  • If you lock it in a box, leave it alone, and you’re not entirely sure what will happen, then it’s probably Euclid.
  • If you lock it in a box, leave it alone, and it easily escapes, then it’s probably Keter.
  • If it is the box, then it’s probably Thaumiel.
  • If you can’t fit it in a box and it’s about to end the world, then it’s probably Apollyon.
  • If you could have locked it in a box but chose not to, then it’s probably Archon.

SCP-012 | A Bad Composition

SCP: Secret Laboratory - Complete Wiki Guide - SCP-012 | A Bad Composition - 7AA2234Item #: SCP-012

Object Class: Euclid

Description: SCP-012 was retrieved by Archaeologist K.M. Sandoval during the excavation of a northern Italian tomb destroyed in a recent storm. The object, a piece of handwritten musical score entitled “On Mount Golgotha”, part of a larger set of sheet music, appears to be incomplete. The red/black ink, first thought to be some form of berry or natural dye ink, was later found to be human blood from multiple subjects. The first personnel to locate the sheet (Site 19 Special Salvage) had two (2) members descend into insanity, attempting to use their own blood to finish the composition, ultimately resulting in massive blood loss and internal trauma.

In-Game: Originally, SCP-012 was temporarily replaced with SCP-330 during Halloween 2020, but is now permanently replaced by SCP-330 as of Halloween 2021. SCP-012 used to be found anywhere in the Light Containment Zone with the text “#012” above the door, indicating it’s location. The door leading down to SCP-012 can be opened by any card with Containment Chamber Tier 2 and higher. The room at the bottom of the stairs will always have a Zone Manager Card and a chance for the COM15 pistol to be spawned. To enter the physical room with SCP-012, again you need a card with Containment Chamber Tier 2 Access. However, if the door is closed behind you, you will succumb to SCP-012’s cognitohazardous properties and will end up killing yourself to finish the piece.

SCP-018 | Super Ball

SCP: Secret Laboratory - Complete Wiki Guide - SCP-018 | Super Ball - AF1B07DItem #: SCP-018

Object Class: Euclid

Description: SCP-018 has the appearance of a Super Ball made by the Wham-O company in 1969. It is six (6) centimeters in diameter and coloured red. Found when the ██████████ company was hired to clean out a warehouse that had Wham-O merchandise in it, SCP-018 was noted to be able to bounce with extreme height. At first thought to be a pleasant child’s toy, SCP-018 was able to bounce with over two hundred percent (200%) efficiency (that is, if dropped one (1) meter, it would bounce two (2), then four (4), then eight (8), then sixteen (16)). The ball soon became a dangerous projectile, reaching speeds estimated at over 100 km/h and damaging property and injuring five (5) in the city of █████████████. It came to a rest after several days in the nearby lake of ████████, and was retrieved by SCP personnel. Due to the speed of the object, and the total surprise by its victims, no cover-up story was required or initiated.

In-Game: SCP-018 can be found in one of the several bulletproof lockers in Light and Heavy Containment Zones, needing Containment Chamber Tier 2 and Checkpoint Access to open any of the lockers in the facility. Upon grabbing SCP-018, it will do absolutely nothing until thrown. When thrown, SCP-018 will accelerate to extreme speeds, almost certainly killing anyone it bounces into, SCPs included. After a short while, SCP-018 will explode, and will no longer be useable. SCP-018 can also be artificially made by putting a Fragmentation Grenade into SCP-914 and setting it to “Fine”.

SCP-049 | Plague Doctor

SCP: Secret Laboratory - Complete Wiki Guide - SCP-049 | Plague Doctor - 0C846ACItem #: SCP-049

Object Class: Euclid

Description: SCP-049 is a humanoid entity, roughly 1.9 meters in height, which bears the appearance of a medieval plague doctor. While SCP-049 appears to be wearing the thick robes and the ceramic mask indicative of that profession, the garments instead seem to have grown out of SCP-049’s body over time, and are now nearly indistinguishable from whatever form is beneath them. X-rays indicate that despite this, SCP-049 does have a humanoid skeletal structure beneath its outer layer.

In-Game: SCP-049 will spawn in Heavy Containment Zone, in an unmarked room in the side of a hallway. SCP-049 will not be able to sprint but has a considerate amount of health. SCP-049’s primary attack is a one-hit-kill to any human in the facility. Upon killing a person, SCP-049 will a very short window to hold down right click and turned the deceased into a zombie. This subject will be classified as SCP-049-2, and will spawn with 500HP, and will aid the SCPs.

SCP-079 | Old AI

SCP: Secret Laboratory - Complete Wiki Guide - SCP-079 | Old AI - 8D6D021Item #: SCP-049

Object Class: Euclid

Description: SCP-079 is an Exidy Sorcerer microcomputer built in 1978. In 1981, its owner, █████ ██████ (deceased), a college sophomore attending ███, took it upon himself to attempt to code an AI. According to his notes, his plan was for the code to continuously evolve and improve itself as time went on. His project was completed a few months later, and after some tests and tweaks, █████ lost interest and moved on to a different brand of microcomputer. He left SCP-079 in his cluttered garage, still plugged in, and forgot about it for the next five years.

In-Game: SCP-079 will spawn in Heavy Containment Zone again with an unmarked door. The door will lead down to a security gate that can not be opened until all 3 generators are activated and SCP-079 is contained. SCP-079’s room will have a small gated area and metal fence with SCP-079 inside, and a small control room that can be opened without a keycard. The control room will feature 2 weapon lockers that need Armory Tier 2 Access, and tons of ammo and other equipment. SCP-079’s features include but aren’t limited to: camera access, door controls, light controls, vocalization through loudspeakers, etc. After using said abilities, SCP-079 will gain a new tier of access, allowing it to have a higher energy storage and unlock more abilities. The 3 generators used to contain SCP-079 can be activiated by any human player, but can be turned off at anytime by any human or SCP player. If all 3 are activated, SCP-079 will be contained and will be “killed”, and will no longer be able to aid the SCPs.

SCP-096 | The “Shy Guy”

SCP: Secret Laboratory - Complete Wiki Guide - SCP-096 | The Item #: SCP-096

Object Class: Euclid

Description: SCP-096 is a humanoid creature measuring approximately 2.38 meters in height. Subject shows very little muscle mass, with preliminary analysis of body mass suggesting mild malnutrition. Arms are grossly out of proportion with the rest of the subject’s body, with an approximate length of 1.5 meters each. Skin is mostly devoid of pigmentation, with no sign of any body hair.

SCP-096’s jaw can open to four (4) times the norm of an average human. Other facial features remain similar to an average human, with the exception of the eyes, which are also devoid of pigmentation. It is not yet known whether SCP-096 is blind or not. It shows no signs of any higher brain functions, and is not considered to be sapient.

In-Game: SCP-096 will again spawn in an unmarked in Heavy Containment Zone. SCP-096 will be able to open the containment cell door immediately. SCP-096 works in the opposite of SCP-173, and will not be able to kill anyone unless looked at in the face or shot at. Upon being shot or having made direct eye contact with a human player, SCP-096 will enter an enraged state, and will be able to kill anyone who has seen his face. Any player who has not seen SCP-096’s face will not be able to be harmed by SCP-096. When enraged, right clicking on any gate will allow SCP-096 to open in it a forceful manner. Pressing the sprint key will allow SCP-096 to dash forward, killing any human player in it’s path and destroying any door in front of it. After ~30 seconds SCP-096 will entire a docile state again and can not be enraged for a short while.

SCP-106 | The Old Man

SCP: Secret Laboratory - Complete Wiki Guide - SCP-106 | The Old Man - 9DF9FE2Item #: SCP-106

Object Class: Keter

Description: SCP-106 appears to be an elderly humanoid, with a general appearance of advanced decomposition. This appearance may vary, but the “rotting” quality is observed in all forms. SCP-106 is not exceptionally agile, and will remain motionless for days at a time, waiting for prey. SCP-106 is also capable of scaling any vertical surface and can remain suspended upside down indefinitely. When attacking, SCP-106 will attempt to incapacitate prey by damaging major organs, muscle groups, or tendons, then pull disabled prey into its pocket dimension. SCP-106 appears to prefer human prey items in the 10-25 years of age bracket.

In-Game: Being the first Keter-class SCP, SCP-106 is nothing short of a high threat. One more time spawning in an unmarked room in HCZ. SCP-106 will be not be able to sprint like most of the SCPs, but will be able to walk through doors. If playing as a human, you can be alerted of SCP-106’s presence by listening to his footsteps: They have a very distinct echo / reverb to them. Left-clicking on human players will send them to the Pocket Dimension, and they’ll have a very fun time trying to escape. Another ability of SCP-106 is being able to teleport to anywhere on the map, all be it that SCP-106 has set a position to teleport to with a “marker” per se. The only way to contain SCP-106 other than filling him full of lead is by the infamous Femur Breaker: This can be activated by human player in SCP-106’s Chamber.

SCP-173 | The Sculpture

SCP: Secret Laboratory - Complete Wiki Guide - SCP-173 | The Sculpture - 932DD47Item #: SCP-173

Object Class: Euclid

Description: Moved to Site-19 1993. Origin is as of yet unknown. It is constructed from concrete and rebar with traces of Krylon brand spray paint. SCP-173 is animate and extremely hostile. The object cannot move while within a direct line of sight. Line of sight must not be broken at any time with SCP-173. Personnel assigned to enter container are instructed to alert one another before blinking. Object is reported to attack by snapping the neck at the base of the skull, or by strangulation. In the event of an attack, personnel are to observe Class 4 hazardous object containment procedures.

In-Game: SCP-173 will spawn in Light Containment Zone in a room marked “PT00”. After roughly 20-30 seconds, SCP-173 will be able to open it’s containment chamber doors and be able to hunt. As should be common knowledge of anyone who’s played SCP:SL or SCP:CB, SCP-173 can not move when within direct line of sight of any human players. Holding right click as SCP-173 will allow it to “teleport” to a highlighted position. When being stared at, SCP-173 will have a countdown timer for when it will be able to move, or when it will be able to “teleport” again and kill its opponents.

SCP 207 | Cola Bottles

SCP: Secret Laboratory - Complete Wiki Guide - SCP 207 | Cola Bottles - 9E7ABDFItem #: SCP-207

Object Class: Safe

Description: SCP-207 refers to a crate containing 24 Coca-Cola brand cola drinks. The bottles are designated SCP-207-A to -X. SCP-207-B is currently the active bottle for testing, and no other bottles are to be opened without authorisation from two Level 4 researchers. All bottles have been clearly labelled to aid identification. The liquid held inside these has been confirmed to be identical across all of SCP-207, and should not be ingested outside of supervised testing. The liquid has been classified as SCP-207-1, and is to be treated as a Class 2 chemical hazard. SCP-207-1 does not appear to alter with age; however, the active testing bottle should have its protective cover kept on outside of removing liquid for testing.

In-Game: Along with SCP-018, SCP-268, SCP-500, and SCP-2176, SCP-207 can be found in the bulletproof lockers in both LCZ and HCZ. Just like any of the other SCPs listed, these lockers need Containment Chamber Tier 2 and Checkpoint Access on keycards to unlock them. The effects of SCP-207 are pretty straightforward: Increased movement speed at the cost of draining the user’s health. The effects of using multiple SCP-207s are listed below:

SCP-268 | Cap of Neglect

SCP: Secret Laboratory - Complete Wiki Guide - SCP-268 | Cap of Neglect - 0E4B656Item #: SCP-268

Object Class: Euclid

Description: SCP-268 is a tweed-wool newsboy cap. The design and make seem to be of Irish origin. Due to the style and fabric, it is estimated to have been created in the late 1800’s to early 1900’s, though fiber analysis is inconclusive. The only markings on the cap are a small label with writing in Middle Irish, reading “The Garden is the Serpent’s Place.” However, there are various indications that this label was sewn onto the cap in recent times.

Due to the nature of the artifact, testing has been extremely difficult. SCP-268 seems to be a normal hat until it is worn. Anyone wearing the hat, however, becomes suddenly and instantly unnoticeable. Subjects become unmemorable, thoroughly ignorable, or “taken for granted” by all observers. Observers, with specific prompting, are able to later recall physically seeing the subject, but can give no specific details other than “seeing a man with a hat”. Observers seem to have the overwhelming feeling that the wearer is someone that was “supposed to be there”, and thus did not merit thought or notice.

In-Game: SCP-268 is another SCP that can be found in the bulletproof lockers in LCZ and HCZ. Once grabbed, SCP-268 will not be automatic and can only be used when selected. Upon using SCP-268, the subject will disappear from every player’s view, regardless of team: This includes being invisible to SCP-079 and SCP-939. When SCP-268 is on, the subject may move around, sprint, jump, and that’s about it. Anything else the player does will cause the removal of SCP-268 and put it’s back in the player’s inventory on cooldown. The cool lasts about ~100 seconds and can be used again once the cooldown is done.

SCP-330 | Take Only Two

SCP: Secret Laboratory - Complete Wiki Guide - SCP-330 | Take Only Two - 2605FC3Item #: SCP-330

Object Class: Safe

Description: SCP-330 appears to be a small round stainless steel bowl filled with a variable amount of individually wrapped pieces of candy. Taped to the side of the bowl is a handwritten note, reading “take no more than two, please!!” Attempts to remove the note have met with failure, as have attempts to hide or obscure it. Testers have noted finding it impossible to avoid reading the note, and those who approach it from an opposite angle are aware of this request.

When a quantity of candy greater than two pieces is removed, regardless of the means involved, the offender instantly has both hands severed at the wrists by an unknown method. Tests involving remote manipulation by Class D personnel resulted in the operator’s hands being removed despite no direct contact. Inspection of the incision reveals that the cut is made at a molecular level, leaving no tool marks or identifying factors. It is to be noted that the third piece must be removed within a certain timeframe. After 24 hours, the count “resets”, and additional candy can be removed.

In-Game: SCP-330 can be found in the Light Containment Zone in a room marked “TC01”. Before the 2021 Halloween update, SCP-330 would occupy in room “#012” in place of SCP-012. Now it has it’s own dedicated room. SCP-330 can only be accessed through the control room, which itself needs a keycard with Containment Chamber Tier 1 Access. The door used to access SCP-330 is controlled via the computer in the control room; The door to SCP-330’s actual room is a toggle. As per the SCP description, taking more than 2 pieces of the candy will cause the player to lose both their hands, and they will end up bleeding out in a few seconds. Taking the candy can be any of 7 different candies, each having their own perks:

  • Red: Regenerate 45HP over 5 seconds
  • Yellow: Restore 25% of Stamina, Invigoration for 8 seconds, 10% Speed increase for 8 seconds
  • Green: 1.5HP/s for 80 seconds, Vitality for 30 seconds
  • Blue: 30AHP (does not decay)
  • Purple: Slowly regenerate 15HP, 20% Damage Resistance for 20 seconds
  • Pink: Instantly explode. (can only be spawned by Remote Admin)
  • Rainbow: 20HP, Invigoration for 5 seconds, 5% Bodyshot Damage reduction (permanently), Rainbow Taste for 10 seconds, 20AHP that decays after 10 seconds

SCP-372 | Peripheral Jumper

SCP: Secret Laboratory - Complete Wiki Guide - SCP-372 | Peripheral Jumper - 815805EItem #: SCP-372

Object Class: Euclid

Description: SCP-372 is a creature of unknown genus, approximately 2 meters long from head to tail and weighing approximately 45 kilograms. It has a long, thin body with eight pairs of narrow limbs.

Analysis has shown that its muscle fibers are [REDACTED], allowing for extremely fast and precise movements. Every part of the body is abnormally flexible, and the limbs are coated with small fibers that cling to almost any solid surface.

In place of eyes or ears, it has [DATA EXPUNGED]. This sensory organ is capable not only of echolocation but also of detecting energy transfers, such as the electrical impulses in the brains of nearby beings. SCP-372 has learned to time its movements to those pulses, predicting the movements of any being around it. It uses this technique to hide, either by hiding behind the head of a person looking for it or by hiding in their scotomas (blind spots) and saccades (clipping during eye movement).

In-Game: While SCP-372 is not in game along with SCP-2536, I’m including it anyway so shut up. SCP-372’s containment chamber can be found in LCZ though. The containment chamber is marked with “GR18” above the door. The room features a gate that can be opened without a keycard, and is pretty minimalistic inside. The chamber will feature a cell that has a chance for a keycard to spawn on the ground. The containment also has shelves and a locker on the right-side wall. Both the shelves and lockers can have keycards in them for use.

SCP-500 | Panacea

SCP: Secret Laboratory - Complete Wiki Guide - SCP-500 | Panacea - E6F8B1EItem #: SCP-500

Object Class: Safe

Description: SCP-500 is a small plastic can which at the time of writing contains forty-seven (47) red pills. One pill, when taken orally, effectively cures the subject of all diseases within two hours, exact time depending on the severity and amount of the subject’s conditions. Despite extensive trials, all attempts at synthesizing more of what is thought to be the active ingredient of the pills have been unsuccessful.

In-Game: Being found in the lockers again in HCZ and LCZ, SCP-500 is a one-time use unlike SCP-Lore with the 47 pills. SCP-500 can also be made in SCP-914 by placing an Adrenaline Shot in the Input and placing the setting to Fine; This causes the shot to turn into SCP-500. Upon ingesting SCP-500, the user will have all their health fully restored, and cure all effects, such as SCP-939’s “Amnesia” effect.

SCP-914 | The Clockworks

SCP: Secret Laboratory - Complete Wiki Guide - SCP-914 | The Clockworks - 6F46984Item #: SCP-914

Object Class: Safe

Description: SCP-914 is a large clockwork device weighing several tons and covering an area of eighteen square meters, consisting of screw drives, belts, pulleys, gears, springs and other clockwork. It is incredibly complex, consisting of over eight million moving parts comprised mostly of tin and copper, with some wooden and cloth items observed. Observation and probing have showed no electronic assemblies or any form of power other than the “Mainspring” under the “Selection Panel”. Two large booths 3mx2.1mx2.1m (10ftx7ftx7ft) are connected via copper tubes to the main body of SCP-914, labeled “Intake” and “Output”. Between them is a copper panel with a large knob with a small arrow attached. The words Rough, Coarse, 1:1, Fine, and Very Fine are positioned at points around the knob. Below the knob is a large “key” that winds the “mainspring”.

In-Game: SCP-914 is arguably the best SCP in SCP:SL. Being found in Light Containment Zone, SCP-914 is marked with “#914” above the door. The gate to access SCP-914 can be opened by any card with Containment Chamber Tier 1 Access. There is a shelf on the far right wall that has a chance to have a keycard on one of the shelves. The settings on SCP-914 are pretty self-explanatory, but 99.99% of the time you’ll only be using “Fine” to upgrade keycards, weapons, armor, medical items, etc. You can find upgrade paths for SCP-914 on the SCP: Secret Laboratory Official Wiki. – [fandom.com]

SCP-939 | With Many Voices

SCP: Secret Laboratory - Complete Wiki Guide - SCP-939 | With Many Voices - 7D97DBBItem #: SCP-939

Object Class: Keter

Description: SCP-939 are endothermic, pack-based predators which display atrophy of various systems similar to troglobitic organisms. The skins of SCP-939 are highly permeable to moisture and translucent red, owing to a compound chemically similar to hemoglobin. SCP-939 average 2.2 meters tall standing upright and weigh an average of 250 kg, though weight is highly variable. Each of their four limbs end in three-fingered claws with a fourth, opposable digit, and are covered in setae which considerably augment climbing ability. Their heads are elongated, devoid of even vestigial eyes or eye sockets, and contain no brain casing. The jaws of SCP-939 are lined with red, faintly luminescent fang-like teeth, similar to those belonging to specimens of the genus Chauliodus, up to 6 cm in length, and encircled by heat-sensitive pit organs. Eye spots, sensitive to light and dark, run the length of their spined dorsal ridges. These spines may be up to 16 cm long and are believed to be sensitive to changes in air pressure and flow.

In-Game: With enough players on a server there can be up to two (2) SCP-939s; SCP-939-53 & SCP-939-89. Both SCP-939s function identically and have the same abilities, movement speed, etc. SCP-939’s vision will not be color, but black and white outlines, with the ability to see other SCPs and humans through walls at a distance. Players who stand still for a moment, don’t speak and don’t shoot will be rendered “invisible” to SCP-939 but no other SCPs. SCP-939 is also the only SCP besides SCP-079 that is able to talk to human players; SCP-939 will not have a voice effect when speaking to human players, allowing them to trick or bait players.

SCP-2176 | Ghostlight™

SCP: Secret Laboratory - Complete Wiki Guide - SCP-2176 | Ghostlight™ - 22C8F29Item #: SCP-2176

Object Class: Safe

Description: SCP-2176 is a brand of anomalous lightbulbs developed by Titan Consumer Appliances and Electronics, originally marketed under the name “Ghostlight™”.

The outward appearance of SCP-2176 brand lightbulbs resembles that of non-anomalous fluorescent lightbulbs sold for household use. However, their operating principles are analogous to those of an incandescent lamp, which uses an electric current to heat a tungsten filament. A similar process is used in SCP-2176 bulbs, with the tungsten filament replaced by a high-density ectoplasm solution consisting of ectomorphs. In order to prevent ectoplasm leakage from the bulb, the interior surface is treated with an ectoproof coating.

In-Game: SCP-2176 is the last of the SCPs that can be found in the bulletproof lockers. Up to 3 of them can spawn in a game at once. When selected from the inventory, SCP-2176 can be thrown with left and click which will shatter on impact, or can be dropped and will shatter automatically after 10 seconds. When it is dropped by a player, it can not be picked up. The use of SCP-2176 is to trap one or more players in a room. When thrown into any normal room, all the lights will turn off and all doors will lock, similar to the blackout ability of SCP-079: This effect will last for 15 seconds. If thrown into a Tesla Gate room in HCZ, the Tesla Gate will be disabled for 15 seconds, and SCP-079 will not be able to trigger the Tesla Gate. In the scenario where SCP-079 does cause a room to blackout, SCP-2176 can use to reverse this effect: All the lights will turn on and all doors will unlock.

(SCP-079 will not be able to affect any doors, lights, or Tesla Gates that SCP-2176 was shattered in.)

SCP-2536 | The Gift That Keeps On Giving

SCP: Secret Laboratory - Complete Wiki Guide - SCP-2536 | The Gift That Keeps On Giving - 80744C3Item #: SCP-2536

Object Class: Keter

Description: SCP-2536 is a Christmas tree with purple and white decorations, approximately two meters tall and composed primarily of plastic. A speaker is attached to the base of SCP-2536, which loudly plays the song ‘I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday’ by the band Wizzard on a constant loop. SCP-2536 only manifests during the month of December, and its status during the rest of the year is currently unknown. During the month of December, SCP-2536 will appear before at least six members of Foundation personnel, one at a time, regardless of distance between them. No reports have been found from the public or elements outside the Foundation indicating SCP-2536 appearing to anyone apart from Foundation personnel.

In-Game: SCP-2536 was a Christmas 2020 exclusive in SCP:SL, but I really hope they add it back again this year and in future years (Even though an exclusive, I’m putting in this guide since it was in the game at one point). SCP-2536 would spawn 90 seconds of the round beginning next to a random human player and start playing holiday-themed music. SCP-2536 will have presents on the ground surrounding the tree. Upon opening the presents, the objects in the presents will be different depending on the circumstance of the player who opens said one of the presents.
