How to Grubb Large Oil Rigs on Wipe Day

 
Items that are required:
 
– At least 20 bandages
 
– 2 eokas, a crossbow, or a nail gun with a crossbow.
 
– Some degree of armour.
 
– Water transportation
 
– Low grade fuel.
 
 
Tips:
 
Ensure that you have enough water and food to last the time.
 
Ensure you have sufficient cold protection for large rigs in the snow. Don't get wet.
 
 

How to get to Rig

The quickest way to get on a large oil rig is by boat.
 
 
You can find boats along the coast or buy them from any fishing village for 125 scrap.
 
 
Standard boats consume 6 gallons of low-grade fuel per minute.
 
 
Place the boat right before the large oil rig dock.
 
 
 

How to Get into the Vents

First, use your crossbow and kill the scientist at the dock. Next, aim for headshots.
 
 
Wait for the scientist at the next level up to L3 to clear the stairs before you start your boat ride up to the dock. This may take some time.
 
 
Bring the boat to the dock, and take out the fuel.
 
 
Begin by bandaging. Next, climb up the ladder to L1, then 2 stair flights up to L3. Head into the vent at L3 and close your door.
 
 

 
Wait for scientists to clear the area to the right of the vent you are currently in.
 
 
Once scientists are done clearing, open the vent opposite to the one you just entered through. Then, hop on the yellow bar to your left and walk to the vent to your left. There will be a ledge that you can clip onto.
 
 
Close the door behind yourself and enter the vent.
 
 

 
 
 

Making the Play

You just heard that someone was trying to take the rig from scientists.
 
 
Once they have called the heavies (, a beeping sound) will indicate that they have been called in…
 
 
Once you have recovered to full health, exit from the vents at the sides opening onto the underside of the helicopter landing pad.
 
 

 
 

 
Exit this vent, and then crouch your way up the struts that hold the helipad up to the next level (L5-.
 
 
The crane will be right next to you, where most people take their heavies.
 
 
Get on the blue silos, then climb the ladder.
 
 

 
Wait for the guy before attacking. Then climb up the ladder while they reload/distract and eoka or crossbow them once.
 
 
Headshots are the best.
 
 
To kill your teammates, use the guy's gun. Make sure you keep your eyes closed while shooting to make it difficult for others to hit you.
 
 
Take the remaining heavies to complete the oil rig and wait for the 15-minute crate timer clock to stop.
 
 
If you don't have enough inventory, exit the oil rig with your loot.
