The following table shows the Explosive Ammo rounds needed to destroy a given component when fired from a Semi Automatic Rifle: Last Updated Aug 26 2016.

Crafting

 
Explosive ammo can be crafted once the player has gathered the following materials: 
 
1. Metal Fragments 
2. Gun Powder 
1. Sulfur 
Notes: 
 
It takes 10 seconds to craft two bullets. 
The round sometimes spawns a small fire entity when it impacts an object, much like incendiary ammo. 
 
 

Researching

 
The Explosive 5.56 Rifle Ammo Blueprint can be researched at a Research Table with:
