Quest Requirements + Items

No quest requirements!

Items needed: None.

i do personally recommend Level 20 ATK/STR/DEF (Steel equipment) and level 30 HP to absorb and deal some damage. Cooked Trout / Pike and above will help you restoring some quick Health from the heavy magic charge attack. If you are still feeling unsafe than you may want to carry teleport runes with you.

Items location: None.

You will need to defeat a level 15 enemy that is able to do 50(0) damage with a magical charge attack while you are taking cover under a shield. Does a TON of damage while being outside of the shield.

Quest Guide

Talk to Gideon Bede in the church east of varrock and he will tell you that you need to assist him as a powerful demon is about to be summoned to destroy Varrock. Accept his aid and your quest will start.

He will tell you that you need to retrieve the Silverlight weapon from the trapdoor below since that’s the only way to kill the powerful demon.

South from Gideon Bede is a trapdoor and you will need to climb this one down.

Once you are downstairs and you are in the middle of the room, you will see 3 spirits which you need to speak with to start the trial.

Spirit of the body: Kill all skeletons in the room.
Spirit of Faith: Listen to the spirit and walk over the pit in the exact same direction. If he says “walk north”, you will have to do 1 step to north. if he says “walk west” you will have to do 1 step to west. You will complete your trial once you have reached the other side of the pit.
Spirit of the mind: He will give you 5 questions and you will need to answer them all correctly.

Why are you in this place? -> I seek silverlight
What is silverlight? -> A sword that slays demons
Why do you require a sword that slays demons? -> A powerful demon threatens Varrock
Who is this demon? -> Delrith
Who send you to claim this silverlight and fight Delrith? -> Gideon Bede

Once you have completed all 3 trials, head back to the big room and claim the silverlight!

Climb back up and you will see a small scroll on the ground were Gideon Bede was before, read the scroll and walk south to see the Varrock bank.

Keep walking south and bypass the magic shop to find another trapdoor next to the Church.

Once you have climbed down the trapdoor you will have to face several cultists (Level 1) that you need to defeat. They will also drop 1x Cooked meat.

You will see a bigger room at the end but before you want to step into that please allow me to give you a headsup.

• You are only able to hurt him with a Silverlight in your hand.
• You are only able to hurt him every small portion of his health before he is doing a charge attack.
• When he is about to do his magical charge attack, Gideon Bede will warn you and you will need to run towards him to take cover in his shield. You will still take damage but a lot less.
• If you are outside of the shield and he launched this magical charge attack. You will take SERIOUS AMOUNT OF DAMAGE AND THIS COULD BE FATAL.

A cutscene will be played once you are in the bigger room and that’s where the fight will begin too with Delrith the demon.

Attack and kill Delrith but keep your focus to the notification messages from Gideon Bede as well.

Once you have slain Delrith you will be teleported back to the church and you have completed the quest.

3. Combat experience lamps that gives 100 XP each.
1. Silverlight. (Effective against demons)
1. Avernic wand and book.

(Please keep in mind that you may receive treasure keys upon quest completion but may not be shown in the video or on the steam guide since i am playing on Ironman Mode).
