This guide will help you to optimize the game for best performance while keeping clean and krisp visuals.

Summary:

My self, Like many others people have reported before, had very bad performance on DX12 while playing the game almost on any map and any game mode – Stutterings, FPS drops etc you name it…

*DX11 was always pretty much stable for me but i kept being obsessed on to how to get DX12 work properly.

Getting DX12 to work properly:

What we are going to do here is to delete the game config folder to reset the game graphical settings.

(delete the Ready or not config folder completely)

it’s located in –

 C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\ReadyOrNot

(Make sure you can see hidden folders in windows folders settings)

Alternatively, if you can’t find it just click:

Start -> run – Paste the following command

 %localappdata%/ReadyOrNot/Saved

hit enter.

Now you need to delete that folder.

After that we are going to launch the game in DX12 mode and set video settings just as they were before.

Potential Reason for DX12 malfunction:

i think that the reason for this to happen in the first place is that some users has the game installed for a long time and some old pre-cached shaders and world gen files and configuration left from older builds of the game which casue it to run poorly and stutter on DX12 for some players on the new latest build.

This is why we are entirely removing the configuration folder so that it will be recreated the next time you launch the game.

Additional configuration changes:

Currently, There are some RTX related settings that can’t be changed in the in-game settings screen but we still can modify them in the Game User Setting file.

So here is the steps we need to take:

Press Start -> Run -> Type :

 %localappdata%/ReadyOrNot/Saved

Hit Enter.

Go To Config – > WindowsNoEditor find the file named “GameUserSettings

Open with Notepad.

Now we going to scroll down and change to the following to disable some RTX effects that cause major FPS drops:

bRTXEnabled=False
bRTXReflectionsEnabled=True
bRTXShadowsEnabled=False
bRTXAmbientOcclusionEnabled=False

Close the Notepad and save the changes.

Conclusion:

The FPS boost you will gain is about +50 FPS on avrage.

Unfortunately it won’t work for everyone but people with RTX gpu’s should really see a major improvement overall.

Please let me know if it works for you 🙂 :r6atk::insfist:
