Hello and welcome, Everything you need to know about Ravenswatch – Hero Upgrades Compendium may be found in this guide. Take each step by this guidance.

Every hero upgrade and magical item in the game is shown in this guide, along with a description of what each one does. Hero organizes upgrades, magical objects are organized according to how they appear in the compendium, and consumable magical things are organized alphabetically and by acquisition location. Everything will be described in detail just as it is in-game.

Some upgrades, such as ones that deal damage or heal, change with your scaling so their numbers will be changed to x in this guide.

This guide is a work in progress; if there are any blanks, it implies that I haven’t found the information yet or added it. Some information may get stale as the game progresses through early access, but I’ll try to keep everything current.

Scarlet

Name: Upgrade type: Unlocked at: Effects: Changes per rarity:
Distant Explosions Starting Unlocked by default SPECIAL now targets a further location and deals +40% damage +10% damage
Devourer Starting Unlocked by default Quest (x20:) Each kill with Werewolf POWER earns +0.5 DMG

Complete: POWER has 40% chance to have no cooldown if it kills an enemy (for both forms)

+20% chance for no cooldown
Shadow Strikes Starting Unlocked at Rank 2 Quest (x25): ATTACK or POWER triggered during Human DEFENSE earns Crit Chance +1% per enemy hit.

Complete: Crit Damage +20%

+5% crit damage
Shapeshifter Starting Unlocked at Rank 5 TRAIT becomes active and HEALS 20% of maximum Health when used

Maximum Health is reduced by 30%

+5% healing
Slash Flurry Standard Unlocked by default After using POWER, the next ATTACK within 3 seconds delivers a flurry of 5 slashes with +20% damage increase.
Cleave Standard Unlocked by default ATTACK has 25% chance to cleave all around and deal +120% damage
Short Wick Standard Unlocked by default Human: SPECIAL no longer affects Heroes and bomb explodes as soon as it hits the ground

SPECIAL recharge 20% faster (in both forms)

Murder Intent Standard Unlocked by default DEFENSE instantly fills all Combo Points and lasts 1 more second(s)
Pyromania Standard Unlocked at Rank 2 SPECIAL applies IGNITE to hit enemies and has +40% Crit Chance
Energy Standard Unlocked at Rank 3 Maximum Combo Points is increased by 2

POWER has +4% Crit Chance per Combo Point stored

Aggressive Defense Standard Unlocked at Rank 3 Deal 60 damage around when triggering DEFENSE
Armor Break Standard Unlocked at Rank 4 SPECIAL applies VULNERABLE to hit enemies for 3 seconds
Wide Attacks Standard Unlocked at Rank 4 ATTACK gains +40% range and deals +20% damage
True Instincts Standard Unlocked at Rank 5 In Human Form, gain +10% Move Speed

In Werewolf Form, gain +20% maximum Health

 

Pied Piper

Name: Upgrade type: Unlocked at: Effects: Changes per rarity:
Explosive Rats Starting Unlocked by default Rats explode when they die and deal x damage around.
Sound Barrier Starting Unlocked by default Quest (x20): Gain +1 ARMOR whenever DEFENSE hits at least 2 enemies

Complete: Doing so again grants x SHIELD to Heroes around for 6 seconds

Freezing Trap Starting Unlocked at Rank 2 Enemies within SPECIAL effect are CHILLED and take +10% damage
Virtuoso Starting Unlocked at Rank 5 Move Speed when using ATTACK or POWER is increased by 30%

Gain +10% ATTACK Speed

Extra measure Standard Unlocked by default After hitting an enemy with DEFENSE, next POWER within 3 seconds lasts longer (+2 waves of notes)
Sniper Standard Unlocked by default Notes from ATTACK and POWER have a longer range and deal +20% damage if they hit after halfway
Grand Finale Standard Unlocked by default When SPECIAL effect expires, zone explodes and deals x damage
Horde Standard Unlocked by default Rats spawn in groups of 3 (instead of 2)

Increase maximum controllable Rats by 6

Explosive Blast Standard Unlocked at Rank 2 DEFENSE deals x damage
Quintuplets Standard Unlocked at Rank 3 POWER plays 5 notes each wave (instead of 3) but each note deals -20% damage
Giant Rats Standard Unlocked at Rank 3 Rats’ attacks WEAKEN enemies and deal +20% damage
Accoustic Pulses Standard Unlocked at Rank 4 SPECIAL deals x damage every second
Perfect Harmony Standard Unlocked at Rank 4 DEFENSE restores x Health to all Heroes around for each enemy hit (up to 4)
Low Notes Standard Unlocked at Rank 5 ATTACK sends bigger notes dealing +100% damage in a zone around but at a 50% reduced frequency

 

Beowulf

Explosive Fire Starting Unlocked by default IGNITED enemies explode when they die, dealing x damage and applying IGNITE to enemies around
Shield Charge Starting Unlocked by default DEFENSE makes Beowulf dash forward and deal +100% damage along path
Rampart Starting Unlocked at Rank 2 Quest (x20): Blocking at least an attack during DEFENSE earns +1 ARMOR

Complete: Wyrm DEFENSE heals 50% more

Draconic Binds Starting Unlocked at Rank 5 Quest (x20): Hitting 2 enemies with a single Wyrm ability earns +0.5 DMG

Complete: TRAIT cooldown -25%. Wyrm abilities deal +10% damage

Blademaster Standard Unlocked by default After each TRAIT activation, next 3 ATTACKS gain +100% Crit Chance

Permanently gain +10% ATTACK speed

+2% attack speed
Bladestorm Standard Unlocked by default SPECIAL spins 2 more time(s) for 90% damage each
Double Shock Standard Unlocked by default POWER sends two successive shockwaves, each one dealing -30% damage
Furnace Standard Unlocked by default Your IGNITE effects last 2 more seconds and deal +20% damage
Fiery Seismo Standard Unlocked at Rank 2 Wyrm SPECIAL’s finisher strikes 3 times with a growing radius for 50% damage each
Heavy Strikes Standard Unlocked at Rank 3 ATTACK is slower but cleaves in a wide zone and deals +50% damage
Eruption Standard Unlocked at Rank 3 POWER’s shockwaves explode at the end and deal 100% additional damage around
Scorched Earth Standard Unlocked at Rank 4 Wyrm POWER leaves a trail of fire, dealing x damage over time to enemies standing on it
Blazing Runes Standard Unlocked at Rank 4 ATTACK and SPECIAL have +50% Crit Chance against IGNITED enemies
Fire Wings Standard Unlocked at Rank 5 Activating TRAIT deals x damage around applies IGNITE to hit enemies

 

Snow Queen

Windy Lances Starting Unlocked by default ATTACK’s lances can curve to seek targets and reset their lifetime whenever they hit an enemy, up to 3 times
Ice Clone Starting Unlocked by defaultl TRAIT leaves an ice clone with 40% of Hero’s maximum health, attracting enemies’ attention

Only one ice clone can exist, it will melt after 20 seconds

Dual Lances Starting Unlocked at Rank 2 ATTACK sends two lances side by side, but maximum range is reduced by 50%
Freezing Shatter Starting Unlocked at Rank 5 Quest (x20): SHATTER 3 enemies with a single SPECIAL to earn +0.5 DMG

Complete: SPECIAL reapplies CHILLED and deals +20% damage

Biting Gust Standard Unlocked by default DEFENSE deals x damage over its duration
Lance Burst Standard Unlocked by default SPECIAL also sends 3 ATTACKS in a cone forward
Cold Heart Standard Unlocked by default Gain +8% Crit Chance for each CHILLED enemy around (can stack up to 5 times)
Hail Storm Standard Unlocked by default After using POWER, 3 waves of ice fall on area and deal x damage each
Wind Shield Standard Unlocked at Rank 2 DEFENSE grants all Heroes within effect zone x SHIELD for 6 seconds
Slide Standard Unlocked at Rank 3 TRAIT makes Hero quickly dash on a short distance, turning INTANGIBLE

TRAIT’s FROST radius is increased by 40%

Frost Surge Standard Unlocked at Rank 3 POWER can be held to store up to 3 levels of charge before release:

DAY: deal +20% damage per level

NIGHT: gain +20% radius per level

Frost Exposure Standard Unlocked at Rank 4 DEFENSE also applies VULNERABLE to hit enemies for 3 seconds
Shattering Blast Standard Unlocked at Rank 4 POWER triggers SHATTER on already CHILLED hit enemies

Any SHATTER deals +20% damage

Frost Queen Standard Unlocked at Rank 5 DAY FROST deals +40% damage

NIGHT FROST lasts 3 seconds longer

 

Aladdin

Slide Attack Starting Unlocked by default Using ATTACK while blades are flying makes you slide and deal 300% of ATTACK’s damage along path
Aerial Catch Starting Unlocked by default Quest (x15): After they hit an enemy, retrieving SPECIAL’s blades during DEFENSE earns +1 ARMOR

Complete: Doing it again grants x SHIELD to Heroes around for 6 seconds

Jinn’s Might Starting Unlocked at Rank 2 Quest (x20): Hitting an enemy with POWER at maximum charge grants +0.5 DMG

Complete: Increase POWER’s bonus damage from charge by 40%

Jinniya’s Gift Starting Unlocked at Rank 5 Gain +1 TRAIT Charge

Future Upgrades have +20% chance to be Rare or better

Jinn’s Fury Standard Unlocked by default POWER strikes 3 times, each one dealing 40% damage
Air Dash Standard Unlocked by default DASH can be triggered during DEFENSE’s air time

Doing so increases ATTACK speed by 15% for 4 second(s)

Healing Blades Standard Unlocked by default When retrieved, SPECIAL’s blades heal all Heroes around for each enemy hit, up to x health
Major Enchantment Standard Unlocked by default While NOT using ATTACK, passively generate 1 ENCHANTMENT every 3 seconds
Cyclonic Appearance Standard Unlocked at Rank 2 When triggering POWER, Jinn hits all enemies around for 50% of POWER’s damage
Dive Standard Unlocked at Rank 3 Using ATTACK during DEFENSE’s jump makes Aladdin dive to the ground, dealing 400% of ATTACK’s damage around
Dancing Blades Standard Unlocked at Rank 3 SPECIAL’s blades spin duration is increased by 75%

Blades can be recalled sooner by triggering SPECIAL again

Accrobatics Standard Unlocked at Rank 4 Each enemy crossed during DEFENSE earns 3 ENCHANTMENT points
Spinning Strikes Standard Unlocked at Rank 4 After retrieving SPECIAL’s blades, next ATTACK within 2 second(s) spins 2 times (twice more with ENCHANTMENT) and deal +80% damage
Swordjinn Standard Unlocked at Rank 5 POWER Jinn can catch SPECIAL’s blades to deal +80% damage in a wider range

 

Melusine

Dance Step Starting Unlocked at Rank 2 DASH can be used in SING STANCE at a +50% cooldown cost
Spring Water Starting Unlocked at Rank 5 Each SPECIAL’s wave hitting an enemy restores x health to Heroes within effect zone
Protective Flow Standard Unlocked by default Heroes crossed by ATTACK gain x SHIELD for 6 seconds
Tidal Wave Standard Unlocked by default SPECIAL’s waves are 20% larger and longer
Power Dive Standard Unlocked by default DEFENSE triggers POWER’s effect with a +20% damage increase when Melusine dives underwater
Aftershock Standard Unlocked by default POWER leaves a water core at cast location that triggers POWER again after 1.5 seconds for 50% of its damage
Freezing Splash Standard Unlocked at Rank 2 POWER applies CHILLED to hit enemies and has +15% range
Underwater Predation Standard Unlocked at Rank 3 Hold DEFENSE to move underwater, crossed enemies become VULNERABLE for 4 seconds
Backwash Standard Unlocked at Rank 3 When SPECIAL ends, add 3 additional waves coming backwards that deal 50% damage each
Submerging Attack Standard Unlocked at Rank 4 ATTACK damage increases by 8% for each enemy hit (up to 6 hits, +48%)

Resets if Melusine takes damage or exits SING STANCE

Geyser Standard Unlocked at Rank 4 POWER deals +50% damage at its center
Water Communion Standard Unlocked at Rank 5 DEFENSE clears SPECIAL’s cooldown and increases next SPECIAL’s damage within 3 seconds by +40%
