What is pouncing?

Pouncing is an exploit that lets you get high speeds when you jump.
 
 

Broken down, this is what is happening:

 
 

• Jumping does not give speed, but lets you jump gaps.
• Sprinting and crouching together lets you slide, giving high speeds.
• Holding the jump key keeps you off the ground longer.
• Friction can’t stop a jump’s momentum in the air. (Although gravity can)
• Sliding then quickly jumping gives lots of momentum.

 
 
 

How to do it

Now you see, if you slide then jump, you get a pouncing effect.
 
 

Full instructions:

 
 

• Sprint until you get good momentum.
• Crouch to slide; hold down the slide button.
• While holding crouch, press and hold the jump key.
• If you had momentum, and held all the keys down, you hopefully have pounced!

 
 
 

Troubleshooting

I can’t pounce. Why not?

 
 

• Make sure to press the keys somewhat quickly, but don’t let go of crouch or jump.
• This guide was made in May of 2022. This glitch may have been patched.

 

Somebody thinks I’m hacking! HELP!
