Here’s a quick guide to each character and where they can be found. This is not a gift guide or a timetable.

Intro/Disclaimer

Welcome to Potion Permit You’re probably here to introduce yourself to everyone. These are some things you should keep in mind while reading this guide.

This guide is not intended to be a timetable or gift. This guide is meant to help you identify the characters. Once you have identified them, your dog will help you find them later.
You will see a “trust” indicator in the upper left corner of your screen. You cannot meet people at the beginning of the game and register them in your character index. It will continue to turn into a green thumbs up as you progress through the story. This guide should not be used until the town starts to talk to you.
This guide is in the order they appear within your index. This makes it easy to find the missing black silhouettes. The “romanceable” characters have been jumbled into the guide. To confirm that these characters are not in order, I will add a section called “Romanceable” at the end.
Notice: Sick Villagers are not considered people you meet while you treat them. Until you treat a sick villager, you can’t meet them. They are either sent to Matheo or you can help them.

Bubble

Bubble

Bubble is quite simple. The bubble is almost always found at the Meadow Range Entrance, selling any item you find in the Meadow Range. She may be south at her hut if she isn’t there or if it’s very early in the morning.

Cassandra

Cassandra

Cassandra is difficult to find for new players. Osman’s wife, she lives at “Osman’s House”, where you might sometimes see her leaving on a morning. She can also be found in the “Willow Waters Bathhouse” at other times during the day.

Dan

Dan

Dan can be difficult for people to find. Dan is half of Dev and can be difficult to find. Dan believes he’s a pirate and can often be found at night in the small area to the west from the town hall shouting that he’s looking for treasure. You might also find him at “Dev”‘s house.

Dean

Dean

Dean is quite simple. He lives in Derrek’s home, which is north of the tailor shop, and works as an officer in the police department. He is usually at the station or at home, even if he’s not on patrol (, particularly around the town hall) and the pub).

Derrek

Derrek

Dean’s brother, Derrek. He is also a police officer and lives in Derrek’s home. You might be able to see them both leaving the house at the beginning of the morning or talking to residents on patrol.

Dev

Dev

Dev is the other half to Dan and is much easier than Dan. Dev lives at Dev’s house and works in the post-office section at the town hall. He can be found there almost every day.

Forrest

Forrest

Forrest is the second Ranger at the Meadow Range’s entrance. You can find him standing near the sign, giving warnings about entering the Range if you don’t have food. If he’s not there, he’s likely in his hut to south.

Garret

Garret

Garret can be difficult to find. Garret lives with a few others in the farmhouse (north of the village,). He doesn’t have a set time and has no set routine. It’s best to find Garret in the morning, as he wakes up.

Hannah

Hannah

Hannah should be easy to find if your Potion Permit experience was anything like mine. If you don’t, you can find Hannah in a hut west of the village near Xiao and the Carpenters. She works as a tailor behind Town Hall during the day. On an evening, you can find her in the inn.

Helene

Helene

Helene is very easy to find. She lives in the arcade, behind the counter.

Kipps

Kipps

Kipps is the local cat. Although they can be difficult to find, I found them patrolling the small path between the tailors’ and the town park quite often. They will eventually appear in this area if you fail to catch them.

Laura

Laura

Laura lives in the farmhouse to the north, along with a few others. She is still a child and has no set schedule. You can grab her when she wakes up, while you are meeting Garret at the farmhouse to the north. She can sometimes be seen at the beach to her north-west or sitting next to Town Hall with Russo.

Leano

Leano

Leano is quite easy. She is a shopkeeper so she is usually behind the till or at the inn drinking/hanging out in the arcade. She is the owner of the “Primrose sail”, which is moored at the beach to the north-west corner of the village.

Lucke

Lucke

Because Lucke is a frequent walker, it can be difficult to find him. He lives with Garret, Laura, and tends to the farm shop. You can usually find him outside tending the crops or cows if he isn’t at the till. If he’s not there, he might be walking near the town hall or in the inn.

Mariele

Mariele

Mariele is Myer and Rue’s wife. You can find her at Myer’s house in the south of the village, near Opalheart’s shop and Dev’s house. She can also be found outside and inside the inn.

Martha

Martha

Martha is easy to find. She is a bartender at the inn and also lives there. You will find her there 9/10 of the time.

Matheo

Matheo

Matheo is the most difficult to find. I would bet that he is the character most people are not seeing in this guide. His house is quite hidden and he lives far from the town. He lives in the south of the map, close to Forrest’s house. The road that leads to Forrest’s house splits into two and then goes through a number of trees. These trees can be walked through, and Matheo’s home is on the opposite side. You will most likely have to go out to find him here as he spends most of his time here.

Mercy

Mercy

Mercy is another person who lives in the farmhouse to the north. She will occasionally be found in the tailors but she will spend most of her time at home.

Myer

Myer

You are familiar with Myer. He is the mayor. He’ll be at his home or at the inn with Mariele if he isn’t at town hall. It’s easiest to catch him at the end a cutscene, before he runs off.

Nova

Nova

Nova is the owner and operator of the tailor shop. You can visit the shop during its opening hours. She’ll be walking around the town, and she’ll spend a lot of time in the park to her left of the town hall.

Olive

Olive

Olive and Cassandra share the bathhouse, which is where she can usually be found the majority of the time. The bathhouse is located in the very top corner of the village, north-east. You can also find her at her house, which is parallel with your home and only across the bridge.

Opalheart

Opalheart

Opalheart is the town’s smithy. You can find her in her house south of town hall, across the bridge to Myer and Dev’s houses, or at her shop “Hearts and Sparks”. She is usually always there. If she isn’t there, she will be at the arcade’s inn. (Ironically, she still calls you a sloth even though she’s sat-gambling.)

Osman

Osman

Osman is a Police Officer. If he’s not in your house, he’s at the police station south of your home. Rarely, he may be outside the town hall and inn.

Ottmar

Ottmar

Ottmar is easy to find. Ottmar is often found at the Primrose Sailing (, the boat that is moored at the beach to the north-west of the village. He also has Leano at her desk next to hers.

Reyner

Reyner

Reyner is easy to find as a shopkeeper. He can be found in his shop and at home in “The Bulk and Build”, to the west of town hall and park. If he’s not there, he may be drinking at the inn or fishing near the Primrose Sail.

Rue

Rue

Rue is more difficult to find because you aren’t used to seeing her in the town, even though the village hates you. Visit Myer’s house, which is located in the south-west corner of the village. This will make it easy for her.

Runeheart

Opalheart’s daughter Runeheart can be found in the same places as Opalheart. Opalheart will find her at his house or in the “Hearts and Sparks shop (Directions are available in Opalheart’s section or by opening your map with “M”). If she’s not there, she may be in the park drinking or hanging out at the inn on rare occasions.

Russo

Russo

Russo is sometimes difficult to find. Although he technically lives at the Monastery he is rarely seen there. You can find him at Primrose Sail beach, the outlook behind the monastery, and in front of the townhall with Laura.

Socellia

Socellia

This woman is incredibly easy to find. She can be found anywhere she goes, including the Monastery. (She is rarely seen on the benches right of the “Moonbury Town Square Teleport Spot”.)

Victor

Victor

I don’t pretend that I understand the schedule of this psychopath. He is the graveyard undertaker, so you can catch him at the monastery. Sometimes I have seen him sitting on the benches right next to the “Moonbury Town Square”, teleport spot.

Xiao

Xiao

Xiao is easy to find. He can be found at his house just west of the village, right below the entrance to the sea, or at the counter of town hall.

Yorn

Yorn

Yorn is easy to find. Yorn is the bartender at the inn and can be found behind 9/10 of the counter.

Zeke

Zeke

Because of his varied schedule, Zeke is one the most difficult to find. Zeke can be found at his hut south of “The Bulk & Build”, or at the beach. He can also be found outside the police station.
