Phasmophobia – Fastmophobia : A Guide To Being Fast

Before You Begin

Before you start this guide, there are some things to consider.

With more players, this is a lot easier, but it is still pretty easy to do it by yourself.

If you want more money, make sure you take a lot of USEFUL photos

This guide assumes that you at least have around ~5 hours of game time (not neccessary but will make it easier as you understand the fundamentals) and have enough money to buy the basic gear (probably only need around $200 max)

So lets get started!

Necessary Equipment

Below is a list of equipment you may or may not need to rush the ghost type

These Items Are 100% Necessary

• Thermometer
• Spirit Box
• EMF Reader
• Ghost Writing Book
• UV Light
• Video Camera

These Items Are Helpful, But Not Necessary

• Tripod
• Strong Flashlight
• Sanity Pills
• Photo Camera

These Are Luxury Items (Not Needed But Nice To Have)

• Motion Sensor
• Salt Shaker
• Glow Stick
• Smudge Sticks + Lighter

Now some of these items come as a default in the Ghost Hunting Van, but some of them you will have to purchase. A Thermometer is an ABSOLUTE MUST as you will see later. All the rest of the items in the Neccessary Category come as defaults

I recommend getting a Tripod as sometimes camera placement is absolutely disgusting. A Strong Flashlight just generally helps to see if you don’t want to pump up your brightness or contrast. Sanity Pills can also be helpful on the larger maps or if you have a specific ghost that drains stamina quickly. Obviously a Photo Camera is nice so you can earn some extra cash.

As for the Luxury Items, these items are usually needed to complete different objectives if you feel like it, but you have to spend a bit of extra money on them, so don’t worry to much if you can’t afford them or you are not a high enough level to purchase them.

So load up your van and pick your location!

Preparation Phase

You can get a lot done in the preparation phase!

Once you spawn in, I would recommend checking the whiteboard (ESPECIALLY if you are playing with multiple people.) see if the ghost interacts with Everyone or Alone and take note of the Ghosts Name.

Next, pick up your flashlight of choice, the Thermometer and an extra Evidence Item. If you are alone, usually the Spirit Box is a good choice, but if you are playing with multiple people, a Video Camera / EMF Reader / Ghost Writing Book etc. are good choices if the ghost only interacts with those that are Alone.

Now go to the door at crawling speed and then realise you forgot the keys to the front door and run all the way back to the ghost hunting van and pick up the keys and THEN feel free to enter the building.

The next section will explain how to find the ghost quickly. Doing these steps as fast as possible reduces the risk of getting a hunt, as during the preparation phase you will not be hunted (Unless you scream its name/use a Ouija Board and trigger an event)

Note: The timer depends on difficulty of job, Professional does not have any Prep. Phase

Finding The Ghost

Now depending on which map you chose their are different ways to approach hunting the ghost, but it is usually the same principle:

Go room to room with the thermometer, make sure you check thoroughly for temperature drops BELOW 10 DEGREES. If you see anything below 10 Degrees it usually means it is the Haunted Room and you can then set up the rest of your items that you brought with you or begin asking questions.

In the off chance that you find an Ouija Board, place it down and left click on it until it lights up. Then you can ask it questions. Ask ones to find the Haunted Room, for example:

• What is your favourite room?
• What room are you in?
• Where are you?

  Unfortunately doing this has a 33% chance to end the preparation phase early, so be careful. If your preparation phase ends early and you took a huge sanity hit from using the Ouija board, you will more than likely be hunted regularly, but this is the best way to find the Haunted Room (the second best way being the thermometer)

Go back to the Ghost Hunting Van and restock on equipment. If you placed a video camera check it on the Van’s Computer for Ghost Orbs for a little while then head back inside. Make sure you are using all the items correctly and long enough to get a reaction from the ghost. Sometimes you can be using a spirit box for a while and not get a response only later to find out that the ghost just wasn’t feeling talkative.

Start noting evidence in your Journal. You can usually also get an idea of the ghost type based of its reactions (If it keeps messing with the lights / You are rarely getting responses with multiple people / It is hunting often etc.) just read up on the journal.

Once you have enough evidence feel free to leave or just walk around and do your objectives and take some photos!

Profit or if you stayed to long, probably get hunted.

Note:

On larger maps, rooms that have running water, rooms with open doors or rooms with the lights already on usually indicate that it is the haunted room. This can also help to find the Haunted Room ALOT quicker

And that’s pretty much it. Now there are some sneaky ways to instantly identify ghosts, but this is the most common way to quickly find the ghost. Just go room to room with the thermometer until you find a Sub 10 Degree room and then just spam your evidence equipment.
