Welcome. I have some experience in posing characters in PPG and can understand why many people find it difficult. It’s not an easy task, so I decided to create a tutorial on dancing poses. Let’s get started!

Why is it important to pose

Posing is important if you love PPG stories and want to show off your friends. While it’s not required, it adds character to the story and may make your friends or you happy.

The basics of dancing

You need to be able to do your own dance moves in PPG.

PPG is not able to recreate every dance move you want. There are limitations due to PPG’s 2D nature. You can find workarounds, but it is often impossible to make or looks ridiculous.

Remember that you can freeze a whole character or its limbs, as well as rotation, pausing and pausing the game. It’s something that makes posing possible, even though people tend to forget about it a lot. Spacebar is the default bind to pause the game (0% speed). Use the WASD keys to rotate a selected limb or item. To freeze a limb, or a character click on them and choose Freeze. In 2 player dances, disabling collisions on a person’s limb can be especially useful.

Have fun. If you don’t like it or find it too difficult, it’s probably not worth it.

Solo dance pose ideas

These poses are static due to PPG limitations. You can let your imagination run wild with their movement. I will add a title and a brief description to each one. These ideas are for people who want to understand the basics of dance poses. If you’re feeling inspired, you can just take the dance!

The Kazotsky Kick

A classic!

Mannrobics

Another classic. You can choose which one you prefer. Personally, I prefer the one on right. The one on left looks a little too silly with his arms covering his face.

The Drinker

The average party-goer. Likes alcohol.
