Downloading ReShade

You can download ReShade at – [] – [] .
In the installer, click “Browse” and browse to your PTTR install folder (you can find it by right clicking on the game in your steam library, hovering over “Manage” and clicking on “Browse regional files”.
Select PaintTheTownRed.exe and click “Next”.
In the rendering API menu, choose “DirectX 10/11/12”
For presets, you can either install my preset (find it in the “presets” area of this guide) or just click avoid if you wish to make your own.
For effect plans, just choose all of them (this can be done by pushing “Check all” top right of the installer.
After installing ReShade, we’ll require to repair some problems in the ReShade config, so go back to the game’s set up folder and open “ReShade.ini” with your preferred text editor.

To save your pre-programmed, click on the plus icon to the right of that bar to make a brand-new pre-programmed (so it has a name and will not bypass the default predetermined) and name it whatever you desire ensuring to select “replicate present preset” After that, click the conserve icon beside the plus and there need to now be a [PRESETNAME] ini in your PTTR folder. You can then share that with whoever you want.


Sure this seems like an extremely long and irritating procedure, however, like, does it in fact make your game look much better? Well, that’s for you to evaluate. Certainly. Everyone has different tastes in game design, and you may just like the blocky flat simple lighting of PTTR.
