Ori and the Will of the Wisps – How To Get Spirit Light Efficiently

Step 1: Shards

This goes without saying, but shards are a MUST if you want to get spirit light fast. 
My RECOMMENDED shards for this are here: 
 
 
 
As you can see here, I have these shards equipped: 
 
1. Magnet: Easier to collect spirit light 
2. Spirit Surge: All the spirit light you collect deals bonus damage to enemies! (however you would want this maxed out since there’s a cap) 
3. Catalyst: Replenishes energy as you do melee attacks (useful for healing/energy attacks) 
4. Resilience: Take less damage 
5. Light Harvest: Enemies drop extra spirit orbs 
6. Bounty: Enemies have way more life/damage, HOWEVER the amount of spirit light is DOUBLED 
7. Thorn: Enemy melee damage hits them as well 
8. Turmoil: Enemies respawn faster 
 
With Bounty/Light Harvest, you get more spirit orbs (very useful in the long run), with Magnet you collect spirit light easier, and with Resilience, Thorn, and Catalyst, its easier to fight. 
 
Turmoil is the key to this strat that I found, however. By using Turmoil and this specific map spot, it’s 1000% easier to collect spirit light. 
 
 
 

Step 2. (MAJOR SPOILERS) Unlock Willow’s End

MAJOR SPOILERS, so don’t read ahead if you didn’t get this far ingame. 
 
So, once you get Seir, you head to the Silent Woods and move Shriek out of the way for now. Past that area is Willow’s End, where you need to completely deal with the Corrupted Hearts. After that, you need to go to this area:

Step 3. The Ledge Strat

FINALLY, the strat that I found out myself, involves this area: 
 
 
 
Here, a certain Corrupted Gorlek spawns: 
 
 
 
Using the ledge, lead him to the edge: 
 
 
 
Combining the skills Bash and Launch (and some melee attacks), get him to go over the edge and onto the small section: 
 
 
 
Here, the Corrupted Gorlek cannot attack you, so you are free to take your time killing him. After you are done, you can heal yourself and eventually the next will spawn in (however it’s much faster with the Turmoil shard.) 
 
 
 

Final Thoughts/End

That’s my tips! Using those select shards combined with the Ledge Strat, you can collect spirit light quick and easy! ♥
