Operation Tango – Complete Achievements Guide + Tips and Tricks

Nice to see you in the cooperative game ‘Operation: Tango’ co-op guide. Here we tried to tell as much as possible about getting each achievement, both in the usual ways and in the varied ones.

For convenience, in the Story Achievements section, we have placed the Agent and the Hacker side by side – on the left and right, respectively. Teamwork, after all! We also diluted some of the achievements with GIFs for better clarity.

A brief summary before you start collecting achievements: 

• Getting all the achievements will not be difficult and will not take much time.
  More than half of the achievements are story-driven and you can’t skip them.
• To achieve 100% progress on the achievements (there are 24 in total), you need to complete the game with both characters. So, you can’t do without a replay here.
• The approximate time to complete the game by one character is 3-5 hours (depends
  on your play style). The gameplay will not bore either the Agent or the Hacker.

By the way, the titles of the achievements are a direct reference to the works of Ian Fleming about the world famous ‘agent 007’. Thanks to the developers. 🙂

Story achievements

As you progress through the story, you will receive the following achievements:

Angel, Agent Extraordinaire   Complete ‘A Viral Heist’ as an agent

Fleming, Alistair B. Fleming   Complete ‘A Viral Heist’ as a hacker

How to get: Mission 1 must be fully completed.

Forever and a Day   Complete ‘A High-Tech Target’ as an agent

Spectre   Complete ‘A High-Tech Target’ as a hacker

How to get: Mission 2 must be fully completed.

Die Another Day   Complete ‘Business on the Go’ as an agent

No Time to Die   Complete ‘Business on the Go’ as a hacker

How to get: Mission 3 must be fully completed.

Ghost Protocol   Complete ‘Digital Dive’ as an agent

Skyfall   Complete ‘Digital Dive’ as a hacker

How to get: Mission 4 must be fully completed.

Quantum of Solace   Complete ‘Institutional Cleanup’ as an agent

The World Is Not Enough   Complete ‘Institutional Cleanup’ as a hacker

How to get: Mission 5 must be fully completed.
 

The Living Daylights   Locate the bomb as an agent	Zero Minus Ten   Locate the bomb as a hacker
It Takes Two…   Complete ‘Big-Bang Theory’ as an agent	…to Save the World!   Complete ‘Big-Bang Theory’ as a hacker

How to get: you need to defuse the bomb at the end of the episode, after which Mission 6 will be completed and you will be given both achievements.

For Special Services   Complete all missions as an agent

On Her Majesty’s Secret Service   Complete all missions as a hacker

How to get: all missions must be fully completed with the selected character.

You Only Live Twice   Complete all missions with both characters

How to get: all missions must be fully completed with both characters.

‘Missable’ achievements

And now what you might have missed.

From Montreal, with Love   Find Clever Plays on the world map

How to get: before selecting a mission, you need to hover your mouse over the coast area in the upper-left part of the map and find the city of Montreal (Canada)*.

For Your Eyes Only   Request a Hint

How to get: you need to go to the main menu (by default, the F1 key) and select ‘Hints’ > ‘Reveal Hint’ in the window that opens on the right. A hint will appear on the screen after the second player performs the same actions.

Icebreaker   Send three messages to your partner as a hacker

How to get: before opening the elevator doors at the endpoint of the Penthouse in Mission 1
(‘A Viral Heist’), the Hacker player must type and send messages to the elevator passenger 3 times. This can be done in the dialog box on the control panel*.

* This achievement can also be obtained during the passage of Mission 3 (‘Business on the Go’): select ‘News’ in the control of a passing train, enter a message in the dialog box and click ‘Send’.

The Spy Who Loved Me   Use all emotes as an agent

How to get: during the passage of any mission where there are security cameras, the Agent player needs to find one of them, stand next to it and, looking into it, press the action key (by default, the E key). This will bring up a radial menu with an emote selection. To get an achievement, you need to use all the emotions at least one time (the order is not important)*.

*The fastest way to get this achievement – is to use emotions in Mission 1 (‘A Viral Heist’) while in the elevator for the Agent character.

License to Kill   Kill your partner as an agent

How to get: during the passage of Mission 1 (‘A Viral Heist’ ) or at the end of Mission 4 (‘Digital Dive’), playing as an Agent, you need to build tiles for the Hacker player, on which the latter moves. After building a tile, you need to wait until the Hacker steps on it, and then remove it from under his feet with the right mouse button, thereby allowing him to fall into the digital space.

Live and Let Die   Kill your partner as a hacker

Как получить: this achievement can be obtained in 3 different ways by playing as a Hacker:

1. At the beginning of Mission 1 (‘A Viral Heist’). To do this, it is enough to start the elevator, after its movement activate the emergency stop and press the ‘Call security’ button.
   The fastest way to get the achievement. If you missed it, the next two methods
   are for you.
2. At the end of Mission 2 (‘A High-Tech Target’). In the story, hack the turret and instead of helping the Agent, aim at him and shoot with the Space bar.
3. During the passage of Mission 5 (‘Institutional Cleanup’). By giving out to the Agent according to the plot ID of the cleaning employee and hacking the scanner at the entrance, do not pass the player when a potential device is detected by the scanner and call security.

How to get: you need to get all of the above achievements (23) in the game, after which the achievement will be given automatically.
