Doing so in-game is rather easy! All you need are : a needle, black dye, a mango leaf and a victim. And of course a design for which ever tattoo you would like to give the person.
Prep the Ink
First you will need iron filings. You get this by simply filing an wrought iron bar and placing the result into a bowl.
To this, you will add a bowl of salt water. When you remove the salt water, you will have obtained rust!
Finally, add a bowl of vinegar into the rust and you’ll have black dye.
Tattoo Prep
Once the ink is created, you will need to get yourself a bone needle and a mango leaf.
You will be able to pour the dye directly only to the mango leaf thusly being able to use it for tattoos now.
Just dip the bone needle into the mixture and get tattooing!
Note : You can only craft tattoos in the jungle biome!
Types of Tattoos
There are currently ( as of May 21, 2021 ) six tattoos within the game.
In order to create a face tattoo, you will need either of the following items : a second mango leaf, thread or a short shaft.
A mango leaf creates the forehead tattoo that will sadly be covered by the hair of most character models.
A piece of thread will create a dotted line pattern across the character model’s nose.
A short shaft will create what a lot of players call “tiger marks” across the character model’s jaw line.
In order to create a body tattoo, you will need either of the following items : a curved shaft, a cutting from a rubber tree or a rope.
A curved shaft will create tiger stripes across the character model’s back.
A rubber tree cutting will create a claw-like marking across the character model’s lower stomach / crotch area.
And, lastly, the rope will will create a dotted line pattern across the character model’s mid-section.
