A full achievement and NG + guide for Nioh.

Introduction

Greetings. Using this guide you’ll be able to easily (hopefully) get every achievement in the game, based on my experiences.

Just a point before beginning: there are no missable achievements in the game. As well as this, in order to attain every achievement, it is required to play through some amount of NG +. How many depends on how good you are, though it took me playing to NG ++++ to be able to get the hardest achievement in the game (in my opinion); though more on that later. These two things coupled means on your first run, you don’t need to worry too much about achievements, though there are some achievements I’d suggest getting on your first play-through (particularly the collectable related achievements). In this light, the guide will mainly be split into two parts: Pre-NG + and NG+.

It took me approximately 140 hours to get all achievements, though it can take more (or less) depending on how good you are. This will become clearer as you hit NG + and make progress towards a certain achievement (though again, more on this later).

If You’re a PC Player (Like Myself)

The game by default, I’d say, has pretty awful controls since it’s supposed to be played with a controller. I’d recommend using the following guide to adjust your controls before you begin:

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1423406462
Much gratitude to the creator of that guide, it made playing the game a very enjoyable experience.

Character Build

While I would recommend trying out every weapon and finding one you like, the following is just a short section if you’d like to follow something from the beginning.

I used a single weapon type throughout the entire game, and the same build. This carried nicely over into NG + too (I felt no need to change anything).

The weapon type was an Odachi, and the build I used was by someone on Fextra, link is nioh.wiki.fextralife.com – https://nioh.wiki.fextralife.com/Rakuyo%27s+Odachi+Build (thank you Rakuyo!). For stats, you want to be putting at least 20 into every stat first, 30 Magic, 36 Spirit and then maxing out the stats that scale with the weapon. In this case, you’d want to max out Heart, Stamina and Strength. You want to be using heavy armour, and due to this, I ended putting a lot of points into Stamina early. Basically just use whichever armour has the highest armour value, and then when you hit DLC, you want to be aiming for a full, ‘The God of War Looks Down’ set. Don’t let this limit you in NG + though, where I went back to just using armour which had the highest value. As for any particular Odachi, I was mostly always using a, ‘Taro Tachi’. A fantastic weapon, though in the late NG +’s, I just used whichever Odachi had higher damage.

This should be enough to make a start, though I’d say feel free to move stat points around as you wish, depending on your needs.

What To Do With Items

During your play-through, you will amass a HUGE number of items, of which 99% are complete garbage. What do you do with these, you may ask?

Pre-NG + (Way of the Samurai) – You want to only be equipping Exotic (purple) rarity items. This means at every point in the game, you should sell all Commons (whites), Uncommons (yellow) and Rares (blues), apart from when just starting the game of course, till you’ve gotten your first Exotics. With the Exotics you don’t want, or no longer need, dismantle them.

NG + and ++ (WotS and WotD) – You want to only be equipping Divine items (green). Dismantle any and all Exotic and Divine items you don’t need/ want.

NG +++ and ++++ (WotW and WotN) – Ideally you’ll be wanting full Ethereal (orange) if you get this far. I wouldn’t recommend dismantling any Ethereal gear you get, though apart from this, the same rules as previously apply.

Yokai Telepathy

Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC - Yokai Telepathy

Just keep this achievement in mind while playing. During your play-through, you’ll come across walls with eyes (called Nurikabe). Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC

In order to get this achievement, you need to use the correct gesture type in front of the wall. There’s 3 different colours of gestures: blue, yellow and red. After two tries, the Nurikabe will become aggressive and attack you. If this happens, just go back to the last shrine and rest. This will reset the Nurikabe, and you can then use the last colour you didn’t use before.

Sometimes you’ll see graves in front of Nurikabe. You can use this to find out which colour is wrong. For example, the description on the grave given may be, ‘Died for his (description in colour) behaviour’. You then know that colour is an incorrect one, and one of the other two is correct.

Main Mission/ Story Achievements

To get all the achievements related with the main missions and story, you need to complete every main mission in the game, including DLC. I’m going to assume since you’re here, this is something you do anyway, so will not be listing these here. There’s around 18 achievements you can get for just completing the main missions, so it’s a bit redundant putting them here.

Kodamas!

Kodamas are little green spirits which serve as the collectables in Nioh. There’s an achievement for collecting all the Kodamas in the game. If you go through the level in detail, they’re not so hard to find, though I missed some on many occasions. If you do miss one or two, the fastest way to go about it is to watch a video.

With Kodamas, your progress collecting them saves. For example, if you’ve collected 7/8 Kodamas, and then finish the mission, you don’t need to collect 7 of those again. If it happens, no problem. You can jump back in the mission, rush through and find the last one using a video, and then hop out using a Himorogi Fragment or Himorogi Branch.

During a mission, you can check your Kodama progress from the Shrine: simply go on the, ‘Receive Kodama Blessing’ option, and you’ll be shown your progress in the bottom right corner.
Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
(I would recommend setting the blessing to, ‘Healer Blessing’ for the first play-through. That way you’ll never run out of Elixirs.)

If after leaving a mission, you’re unsure whether you’ve collected all the Kodamas, it should tell you how many you’ve collected on the mission description. The following is a list of every mission which has Kodamas (including DLC), and how many Kodamas there are in the mission. This list, if used, should be used with the list provided for Hot Springs.

Hot Springs

Nearly all the main missions have Hot Springs, some hidden more than others. There’s an achievement for bathing in every hot spring in the game. To check if you’ve bathed in a mission’s hot spring, look out for the following icon in the bottom-left of the mission description:

Mission Specific Achievements

There’s only a few missions in the game that have special requirements to get an achievement. Keep an eye on this to know if your next mission has an additional requirement. They are as follows:

Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
Chugoku Region – The Ocean Roars Again

Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
Kinki Region – Spider Nest Castle
This achievement involves brutally murdering all the large spiders in this mission.
Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
Like in the picture, but larger. They can be differentiated as they’re usually on a wall or door of some kind, in a web cocoon. There are 6 fragments, of which I’d missed one which I looked up in a video.

Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
Kinki Region – The Demon of Mount Hiei
Brutally murder the Nue mini-boss in this mission.

Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
Tokai Region – The Defiled castle
Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
Near a shrine later in the mission, you’ll meet a man asking for Dung Balls. To get this achievement, you need to give him 30 Dung balls. You can farm the enemy shown above at the start of the mission, or come back right at the end of the game when your inventory has a plentiful amount. This was one of the last achievements I did, and had enough Noble Dung Balls and normal Dung Balls to avoid farming at all (Noble Dung Balls count for extra!).

Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
Omi Region – The Queen’s Eyes
Somewhere in the basement, you’ll find Derrick the Executioner. He looks a bit like the Amrita Fiend if I remember correctly (shown somewhere below).

Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
Tohoku Region – The One-Eyed Dragon’s castle

Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
Tohoku Region – The One-Eyed Dragon’s castle
I actually missed this the first time, since I didn’t know it was from this mission. Keep the name in mind, and when you encounter this boss, don’t brutally murder him immediately. Hear him out, he’s quite, uh… yeah. Then brutally murder him.

Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
Siege of Osaka (Winter) – The Siege of Osaka (Winter)

Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
Siege of Osaka (Winter) – Scion of Virtue
There’ll be 10 quite powerful, human enemies throughout this mission. Brutally murder them all to get this achievement.

Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
Siege of Osaka (Winter) – The Sparrow Flies Again
This is mentioned here as this mission has neither Kodamas nor any hot spring. So you’ll need to complete this solely for the achievement, if you’re not doing all side missions anyway.

Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
Siege of Osaka (Summer) – The Sanada’s Resolve
Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
This one’s a bit awkward to get as you have to use the variant of the enemy shown above, with the barrel attached to their backs to get some of the cannons. Would recommend watching a video for it.

Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
Siege of Osaka (Summer) – Resentment Unleashed
Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
This achievement doesn’t refer to the final boss of the mission. At some point in the mission, the son of a ***** shown above will appear. Brutally fire an arrow or firearm at him for the achievement.

Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
Siege of Osaka (Summer) – The Last Samurai
Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC

Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
This one is rather difficult. The contraptions in question spawn variations of the first Amrita Fiend, as well as eventually, the, ‘Magatsu Warrior’ shown in the second picture. I think they spawn infinitely, so don’t try killing all of them (trust me, I already tried). Best advice I can give is readying up Living Weapon beforehand, using the Extraction and Pleiades Talismans, then immediately going in and reaping destruction with the Living Weapon. I’m pretty sure the contraptions regenerate HP too, so you’ve only got one go. Once they’re destroyed, they don’t re-spawn. This achievement includes the two contraptions in the small, arena type area where you face a couple waves of enemies.

This concludes all the mission-specific achievements. If I haven’t given any description under an achievement, it means I didn’t have any trouble with it. Naturally, if you’re trying to fully complete the map, you should get those automatically. If you are of course having trouble, you can find the locations of the various objectives in videos. I understand it might not be all that comprehensive, but I feel it’s more useful identifying the actual missions than trying to describe where every single objective is.

Pre NG + Clean-UP

The following achievements make a few assumptions:

  • You’ve done every main mission in the game
  • You’ve done most sub-missions
  • You have at least Lv. 20 in Dexterity and Magic
  • You’ve remained faithful to a single-weapon type for most of your play-through

Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
You should get this achievement after completing The Queen’s Eyes in the Omi Region.

Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC

Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
Pretty self-explanatory.

Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
This achievement assumes assumption 4. The maximum proficiency attainable with any single weapon type is 999,999. If you’ve been using primarily the same weapon type in your play-through, you should’ve gotten it a while ago. Note that proficiency still goes up for a weapon type, even if familiarity on a weapon in maxed. To check your proficiency for any weapon type, go to Status from the options:
Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
And then Additional Stats:
Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
At least 500,000 proficiency is required with every other weapon too, which will be explained in the NG+ section.

Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC

Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
Assumes assumption 3. Once you have Lv. 20 in Dexterity and Magic, the two missions, ‘A true Ninja’ and, ‘A Greater Harmony’ will unlock in the dojo, respectively. Completing these will allow you to learn the Mystic Art for Ninjutsu and Onmyo Magic.

Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
Complete any Twilight Mission.

Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
You should get this achievement after having completed, ‘The Demon King Revealed’ in the Omi Region. Though besides that, you’ll have gotten plenty of Divine quality items in the DLC.

Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
Assumes assumption 1 and 2. I’m not sure if sub-missions are required too, but I tried to kill every enemy at least once in every main- and sub-mission I did, so got this achievement by default. There isn’t anything special you have to do for it, apart from brutally murder every enemy you come across. You can see which small and large yokai you’ve defeated by going to Titles from the menu (same menu you select Status from above), and then Gameplay Record, of which two tabs will have details of how many of each small and large yokai you’ve defeated.

Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
Assumes assumptions 1 and 2. Honestly, this and the last achievement should unlock passively provided assumptions 1 and 2 are satisfied, and you’ve played through the game properly. Nothing additional is required.

Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
There are more than 40 gestures in the game. I got this before hitting NG +. To find out how many gestures you have, they can be found in the, ‘Other’ tab in the same menu as where you find details of murdered small and large yokai, of which instructions can be found above.
Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
As can be seen, I finished the game with almost 50 gestures. The achievement requires only 40, so I’m sure if you left it till last, you’d get it passively. That said, if you want it before going into NG + anyway, you can always buy additional gestures using Glory from the Hidden Teahouse.

[NG +] Why NG+ is Necessary

[NG +] Introduction

NG + is initially unlocked by completing The Queen’s Eyes in the Omi Region, though it’s recommended to move to NG + after completing the DLC. The following are the names of all the NGs, and how they’ll be referred to from here-on:

Normal, base game – Way of the Samurai

NG + Way of the Strong (WotS)

NG ++ Way of the Demon (WotD)

NG +++ Way of the Wise (WotW)

NG ++++ Way of the Nioh (WotN)

The way NG + works is in the bottom left, a progress bar will appear called the, ‘Mission achievement rate’. This bar needs to be filled to the final tick (not all the way, just to the final tick) to unlock The Queen’s Eyes on that NG. Completing The Queen’s Eyes will then unlock the next NG.

If all the main DLC missions have been completed, The Queen’s Eyes should already be unlocked for WotS. So the first step is to complete this, unlocking WotD. In this way, as soon as you’ve finished the base difficulty, you should be able to go straight to WotD. The, ‘Mission achievement rate’ bar then needs to be filled to the final tick as described above to unlock WotW.

If you wanted, you could complete the two achievements requiring missions to be completed in WotS now, though it’s better just to come back to them after you’re more powerful.

The whole point of playing through WotD, WotW and some of WotN too in my case, is to get powerful enough to do the following achievement:
Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC
Therefore the rest of this guide will focus on how to get powerful as quickly as possible in order to get this achievement. Once you’re able to do this achievement, every other achievement in the game is a cakewalk.

[NG+] Fastest Way to get from WotD to WotW

So, you’ve just beaten The Queen’s Eyes on WotS and unlocked WotD. What to do now?

Your goal is to get from WotD → WotW → WotN as fast as possible. You can do this by using the following minimum mission list by Fextra, found using the link nioh.wiki.fextralife.com – https://nioh.wiki.fextralife.com/Mimimum+Missions+to+Beat+a+NG+

This should be combined with the following list of missions by Reddit user Lupinos-Cas from the following https://www.reddit.com/r/Nioh/comments/9aw8x5/what_are_the_fastest_missions_to_rush_through_the/. These missions, as stated in the thread, are side missions with no bosses:

  • Kyushu Region: Death to Bandits, A Request from Ginchiyo, ‘Finders, Keepers’, Kanbei and the Overlord
  • Chugoku Region: The Magatama of Fire, The Three Angry Gods, The Bridge of Bone
  • Kinki Region: The Disappearing Ranjatai, The Missing Catalog, The Fallen Onmyo Mages
  • Tokai Region: The Seven Good Tidings, The Three Souls, A Fiercer Flame
  • Sekigahara Region: The Unrepentant Thief, The Demon’s Daughter

Special thanks again to Reddit user Lupinos-Cas who came up with this list.

Strategy: Unlock the following three Ninjutsu:

  • Catwalking I
  • Suppa I
  • Tiger-running I

At the start of the mission, use all 3. This makes you invisible, meaning you can run past all the enemies. Your goal is to either rush to the boss, or do the mission objectives as fast as possible.

You might be thinking now: well, if I’m running past all the enemies, how do I get more powerful? Good question.

Regardless of how many ochoko cups you use (I’d suggest saving these for WotW and WotN), yokai associated with the mission objectives alwaysdrop divine gear. This should be enough to gear appropriately (just equip the armour with the highest armour value you get, and the best weapon of your preferred weapon type). Yes you’d be missing out on amrita, but a farming method for farming amrita is described in the next section.

As a final point, I wish to re-iterate: do not waste time sticking around on WotD, trying to farm levels and items. Mission level has absolutely nothing to do with your character level. By the time I finished the game, I was doing missions on WotN that were Lv. 955, while my own level was not even 400. The mission was over 550 levels higher than I was. The gear and amrita you get from mission objectives will be sufficient to get you to WotW. If you’re really struggling, it’s acceptable to do one or two missions properly for amrita/ items from yokai (from the yokai realm), but no more than that. The rewards from WotW and WotN are too great to be wasting time on WotD.

[NG +] WotD/ WotW/ WotN Boss and Objective Yokai Guide | Living Weapon Usage

The boss/ objective yokai will usually be too powerful to beat by normal means. Perhaps not on WotD but definitely on WotW and WotN.

Your best friend in WotW and WotN is your Living Weapon (LW). You want to be in Living Weapon form as much as possible. I beat the entire game using the same Guardian Spirit, which was Kato (never used the secondary Guardian Spirit).

Game Plan – Get the following six Onmyo Magics:

  • Pleiades Talisman I
  • Pleiades Talisman II
  • Pleiades Talisman III
  • Extraction Talisman I
  • Extraction Talisman II
  • Extraction Talisman III

I had enough Onmyo Magic Capacity (40) to have all three Sloth Talismans equipped as well. Before you LW, use the Pleiades and Extraction Talismans to greatly extend the usage time of your LW. As well as this, the two talismans can be used to quickly farm your LW if it’s not ready, as striking an enemy will give amrita, contributing to the LW gauge. You want to pretty much be permanently under the effect of these two talismans. You have 6 of each, so no need to hold back with them; they last a fair while too.

When it comes to actually activating and using your LW, the best advice I can give is: do not get hit. Your LW will last a lot longer if you can use it without getting hit. Especially in WotW and WotN, where getting hit even once will usually completely destroy the LW. Sometimes you want to go all out, and sometimes you want to be a bit more conservative and play more carefully with it: that’ll come from experience.

[NG +] Living Weapon, Spirit Stones and Spirit Stone Farming

Ever wondered what those hundreds of spirit stones you collected were for?

Spirit stones are basically the brute force method to playing this game, as they can be used to immediately charge your LW, even if the gauge is empty. The spirit stones you want to use are:

  • Small Spirit Stone
  • Spirit Stone

Using a single one of these spirit stones should fill the LW gauge, provided the Pleiades and Extraction Talismans have been used beforehand. I used this method to farm Amrita and items in WotW, described in the next section, as the enemies/ bosses were far too difficult.

To farm Spirit Stones, I turn your attention to the mission The Queen’s Eyes (can be done on Way of the Warrior). The Kelley clones at the end drop quite a lot of Spirit Stones, and can be farmed infinitely. Kill two of the clones, then either die to the third or use a Travel Amulet to return to the last Shrine. This should reset it, and all the clones will be back.

[NG +] Amrita and Item farming on WotW/ WotN | All Weapon Mystic Art Achievements

The method for farming described is called Marobashi Farming.

This method of farming involves farming the, ‘Masters’ in the mission, ‘Marobashi’, in the Tokai Region. To unlock this mission, all the mastery missions need to be done in the dojo, for every weapon type. These are the same mastery missions which unlock the mystic arts for the weapon type, thus all the mystic art achievements can now be gotten.

The requirement to unlock the mastery missions in the dojo for a weapon type is 500,000 proficiency with that weapon type. This can be done extremely quickly on WotW. Simply equip your most powerful weapon of the weapon type, charge your LW, and go on a killing spree. It’s going to take barely any time at all to get all weapon types to 500,000 proficiency if done on WotW. Once all weapon types are at 500,000 proficiency, return to Way of the Samurai and do all the dojo missions, unlocking the mystic arts for the achievements too. Once this is done, Marobashi will be available in the Tokai Region.

Unfortunately to unlock Marobashi in WotW (it must be unlocked in Way of the Samurai first), the Mission achievement rate gauge needs to be filled to the last tick, which means repeating the same process that was done for WotD. You’ll be a lot more efficient at it now, and can get ethereal drops, so it shouldn’t be too bad and a lot more rewarding (:

Once Marobashi has been unlocked in WotW, the Spirit Stone method described in the previous section can be used to farm the, ‘Masters’. They’re quite tough, but with a bit of practice and LW, it’s very doable. I even managed to complete the mission, twice! Two times more than I was expecting lol

When do you stop farming? I probably farmed around 6-7B amrita, and nearly full ethereal items before I stopped. But it’s up to you in the end. You may farm for as long as you wish.

[NG +] Journey into The Abyss | Abyss Guide

Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC - [NG +] Journey into The Abyss | Abyss Guide
The Abyss can be accessed by the new option that appears above the Twilight Missions after completing the base game. The full process as described above is what I had to go through in order to do 20 floors. You could say it’s less an, ‘achievement guide’ and nearly entirely my experience. But it me got the achievement. If it works for me, it’ll work for you! I’ll describe it as a surefire way to get this achievement, which I would say is also the hardest achievement in the game.

When in The Abyss, on the first floor you do upon entering, you’ll always be required to take 4 boats to different Planes (note: not floor 1. This is the case every time you enter The Abyss). In these other Planes, the objective is to find a Kodama (just follow the map pointer). The fastest way to do this is to use the Suppa + Catwalking Scrolls, and run past all the enemies to the Kodama. You literally don’t have to fight anything. Per Kodama you get, one debuff is removed from the Crucible.

So just to make this clear. When entering the Abyss, the primary objective in order to clear the floor is to defeat the boss in the Crucible. You can go straight there when you enter if you so wish, but you’d also be affected by 4 debuffs. In order to remove these debuffs, you need to take the boats and find the 4 kodama. This will remove all the debuffs.

As for actually fighting the bosses: LW. Use the same method used for farming Marobashi on WotW for the Abyss bosses.

Once you’ve cleared a floor, you’ll be given the option to either leave The Abyss or go to the next floor. If you go straight to the next floor: the next floor, and any subsequent floors, will have only one debuff in the Crucible. This means you need to find only one Kodama. If you leave The Abyss and re-enter, you’d have to find 4 Kodama again, so it’s recommended to do as many as you can in one go.

There are some advanced Abyss concepts such as Defilement and certain Ethereal Graces only found in The Abyss, but they are beyond the scope of this guide.

More about item defilement can be found nioh.fandom.com – https://nioh.fandom.com/wiki/Item_Defilement.

[NG +] Holy Trinity Achievement

Nioh: Complete Edition - Nioh - Achievement and NG + Guide - Including DLC - [NG +] Holy Trinity Achievement

This is the last achievement you might have some difficulty with. It’s likely that the only item required is the Yata Mirror; this was the case for me. The Kusanagi Tsurugi I’m pretty sure was one of my first Divines before even doing any NG +, and I got multiple Yasakani Magatamas after I was done with WotW.

To get the Yata Mirror, assuming Marobashi has been unlocked on WotW: do The Queen’s Eyes on WotW to unlock WotN. The reward for the first time completion of, ‘A Request from Ginchiyo’ in the Kyushu Region on WotN is an Ethereal accessory. This is how I go the Yata Mirror.

If you don’t get the Yata Mirror from this… then I’d suggest just playing through some more of WotN until you get it. Sorry, don’t know much more I can say here, I didn’t have to farm for any of these items.

[NG +] Post-NG + Clean-Up

The following achievements assume the guide has been followed up to this point. If you’re here under-levelled and haven’t done any kind of farming whatsoever, nor made it to WotW/ WotN, then… go get OP!

I actually got this achievement while looting a treasure room in The Abyss, coupled with dismantling every Exotic and Divine item I could get a hold of. It turns out this treasure room is actually called a, ‘Sanctuary’, and there’s a very rare chance of encountering it. If you don’t get this achievement from The Abyss like I did, I’d recommend checking out the following www.powerpyx.com – https://www.powerpyx.com/nioh-trophy-guide-roadmap/ by PowerPyx. It has a list of all the, ‘best’ materials and how to acquire them. Luckily I never had to look at this list, but you might not be so lucky.

If you farmed Marobashi on WotW, then you should already have this (achievement excludes accessories). Otherwise just farm higher tier gear on WotW and WotN.

At this point, these are more than trivial, considering WotS was skipped entirely.

To make a request at the blacksmith, you need to spend money. The more money you spend, the more requests you can make. Expenditure doesn’t have to be buying; it includes reforging, soul matching etc. With all the money obtained from farming and just generally playing up till this point, you should have more than enough. A total expenditure of 20M is required.

The mission required for this is called, ‘Ganryu’ and unlocks in the Siege of Osaka (Winter) Region. Provided all the weapon mastery missions and Marobashi has been completed, this should be unlocked.

This achievement unlocked for me during the mission, ‘Resentment Unleashed’ in the Siege of Osaka (Summer) Region, with the two NPCs. I suppose just keep fighting alongside the two NPCs until you get it.

I never used a single one of these during my play-through. Just go to the first level on Way of the Samurai and spam it on an enemy. Easy

I did some co-op with a friend, and so got this while playing co-op. If you haven’t got it, not to worry. You can either search to play with someone else using the Torii Gate, or spam, ‘A Request from Ginchiyo’ (Kyushu Region) on Way of the Samurai.

All the above can be completed at the blacksmith. The first two I did at the very end of the game. For Fashionista, the barber needs to be unlocked with Patronage Levels from Tome I think.

These last two achievements can be done from the Hidden Teahouse. Trade → Transform. All the female transformations, for some reason, are extremely expensive (cost at least 70,000 glory). To get glory and avoid farming, I’d recommend participating in a clan battle. When I unlocked the Hidden Teahouse, I joined a clan and maybe donated like, 5-10 items? A trivial amount. I then checked back here right when I’d finished the game, and got like, 100,000 glory for no reason from the clan battle. So yeah, minimal participation in a clan battle coupled with time seems to have netted me a ridiculous amount of glory for the amount of work lol Alternatively, you could just farm glory from revenants.

Conclusion

Okay! This should be all the achievements, I hope it helps. If I’ve missed anything, or there are questions, feel free to add me or comment (=

A special thanks to Fextralife, and the Fextra community on Discord. They helped me greatly. I’d also recommend joining the Fextra server on Discord, there’s a great Nioh community there (though people are mostly playing Nioh 2 lol)
