Okay so this is pretty easy.
 
 
1: get yourself in this pickle of a situation, saved game and all.
 
 
2: chapter select to CH: 1_2_3 and do the “all ending cheat” (if you hit Select/view/back you can input the cheat ezpz)
 
 
2.5: I used a 2nd save slot when asked to save don’t know if it matters, just did it to be safe
 
 
3: Now you can load into chapter 7_1 and emil will be back.
 
just talk to him, take the mask again and continue like you never messed in the first place.
